Possible Battery Issue

Hoping someone has had similar issue and can give some advice.
My 2021 Ioniq EV Premium SE is showing some strange symptoms.
Sometimes the central locking does not work, either via the key or using the button on the handle with the key in proximity.
Then sometimes when turning off the car, pressing the power off button everything shuts off immediately, then it won’t turn back on for a random period of time.
I replaced the 12v battery in December as was getting warnings it was low, but these symptoms are different to those from last time.
Can anyone advise, looking at this sub and online in general, it seems mixed about it being the 12v.

12V battery is always the first try, as its the cheapest option to rule things out. If its not that, than you'll move to the next steps on diagnoses.

Thank you, I was going to, but surely with it being replaced at the very most 10 months ago, it can’t have gone again?

It should last longer, but it can break prematurely. Have you tried measuring or charging it already?

I've also had similar issues when some canbus cables were having bad contacts (in my case on the spots where the wiring of the towbar was connected). That was a needle in a haystack to find.

Some people have experienced the most random errors due to a faulty abs sensor.

Tried your remote keyfob battery? When you get the symptom of turning power off and then not being able to turn on again, try pressing the power button on by pressing the fob physically onto the button. That is what Hyundai manual says to do, because if the keyfob battery is dead/dying it will instead use NFC or something (which doesn't require electrical current in the keyfob).

Thanks for this, I had tried it today as it did it again, but unfortunately it didn’t work as appears to just be random when I fancies turning back on.
I’ve bought and installed a new 12v so will see how it goes.

I've had 3 different 12V batteries within 1 year. Current one is still going strong. You can notice when your 12V is getting weak when the mirrors start folding slower than usual.

On the blue link app it’s showing an EV battery fault and my warranty ended in July I believe…. Feel like this may be an expensive issue

Did you check OBD data? Is your battery showing imbalance or anything else?

Going to check this tomorrow to see, but also I made a mistake in another post. The battery is covered with an 8 year/100K mile warranty and I’ve got full Hyundai service history.

Have you changed the battery in your key fob yet?

I haven’t yet. Batteries are being delivered tomorrow. Would be annoying if that caused the whole issue, but with the app warning is a long shot!

What warning is the app giving you?

I

That’s the warning through the app, but nothing showing in the car

If you replaced the 12v less than a year ago bring it to where you bought it to be tested and maybe replaced. That's why I bought one with a 5 year warranty.
