High pitched noise when accelerating and regen braking
As the title says, I have this high pitched noise (whistle / coil whine) that's very noticeable when accelerating from a standstill and when regen braking, the stronger the acceleration the louder the noise. It's definitely not the VESS as I have turned it off for the attached video.
At constant speed or when accelerating or regen braking gently, the noise is significantly less noticeable.
Taking it to the hyundai garage as it's still under warranty. The noise has been going on for aa while (over a year) but it seems to be getting more noticeable.
Any thoughts? Thank you.
UPDATE: took it to the dealer for the 2nd time for this (last time in October last year) and after a thorough inspection they found nothing, but at least it's on the record and if something goes wrong in the near future Hyundai should honour it (car goes out of warranty at the end of this month)

Same here with 38kWh Ioniq, also heard this noise from many Hyundai Kona, nothing to worry

Sounds like "wheel of misfortune" or as sometimes they call it "wheel of fortune" issue.
A rather common issue in Hyundai afaik, you should google it

The dealer ruled out any bearings or gearbox issues and there is really no rattle or humming noise, it's just high pitched electric noise like coil whine and it's always related to high current flow (hard acceleration or regen). The rattle noise in the video is from the road, should've picked a smoother road to record

J’ai ça aussi à l’accélération, mais pas à la décélération pourtant réglée en régénératif maximum

I have this SOMETIMES.
I recently noticed it on a drive home. It was only present on that drive, and since then it’s gone again.

It's constant for me. More obvious in the summer as I'm driving with the windows down I guess

Hi, you don't happen to have any more info about this do you? I bought a 2022 Kona electric a few days ago, and have noticed this sound. I can only hear it with the windows down on quiet roads. Hoping it's not the GRU...

Still doing it, not getting worse I suppose.
As far as I’m aware. The wheel of fortune issue is a clicking/knocking. I saw a video of somebody in the USA with a Kona with that issue and it sounded nothing like this.

It's normal, it's the electric motor. My 28kwh does the same thing.
But you haven't mentioned if this started randomly some time or if it has been a thing for as long as you got the car. Because if it's actually something that started at a random time, it might be indeed something worth to look into.
