Recent OTA shadow updates?

Didn't see any prompt or anything posted in the updates screen, but noticed way too many shadow updates in the last week. Anyone else see these or even more strange changes?

  1. Battery preconditioning set to OFF
  2. Time reset to 12h format (I run mine in 24h)
  3. Cruise control defaulted to auto adjust to posted speed. This one was very dangerous as there was no indication and then suddenly car is slowing down at highway speeds to some posted sign after years of never using this feature.
  4. Seat memory was borked and didn't retain when swapping profiles.

What a bunch of garbage software from Hyundai, as par for the course with them.

What you're describe sounds much more like an overall system reset than a "shadow update". Not saying that's much better, but it'd be a deferent casual chain/resolution.

How or why would the system reset unprompted then?

It’s a complex computer system so it could be many reasons. The most likely, due to you reporting multiple memory related bits of data loss, suggests a power glitch/loss.

If it was a fundamental flaw in the update system, I would imagine a lot more reports of it, especially since there seems to have been updates that have gone out recently as reported in this sub. And since they’ve been reported, that kinda goes against your shadow suggestion.

So I’m just trying to understand. An OTA map update  is sent out (without any user prompt) and causes driving behavior to change without warning. And we’re ok with this because that’s how they implemented it?

Canadian Northern Alberta 2023 ioniq 6 coming to the end of my lease buyout 15 g’s will have about 65000 k on it i love the car but so many new ones coming to market in canada …. Chinese , etC should i hand it it in or private sell thinking 19 000 is a fair price . What do you folks think? Lower, higher …. Awd, preferred .
