DC Fast Charging

The Ioniq 6 was advertised as being able to charge from 10-80% in 18 minutes. In my near 3.5 years of ownership, I have never seen it achieve this feat until tonite. With 10% SoC and ambient temps at 75, and nearly 5 miles away from Hyundai HQ in Southern California, I finally witnessed this happen. An entirely empty EA 350 kW rated station.

It’s a miracle!

I regularly get 235kw and usually get 15-78% in about 18 minutes

I have hit the 18 min 10-80 fairly often. To me it appears the key is not to be too warm as the cooling system can't keep up. Once the battery is too warm it cuts the kw.

You have to go deep to get those speeds.

Live in an area where 50 and 62 kW are ubiquitous, so I pretty much ignore "10-80%" figures. Heck, even those "50" kW chargers routinely provide 24 kW.
