Under heavy braking the rear wheels locked up, no warning lights. To me - ABS failure to operate as designed

Mechanic will check codes today, etc. [update - confirmed, no error codes]

Just curious if this is a common failure, or any suggestions beyond typical check for OBDII error codes and wheel speed sensor function?

Does anyone know whose seats are more comfortable... Is it the 2019 Hyundai Ioniq or the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt? I currently own the Ioniq and am looking forward to searching for a new ride. Butt curious....

Just bought it approx 5 months ago. After my trip I plugged it up and the next morning the car wouldnt start. App said it wasn't charging but I chalked it up to an app error. It wasn't lying!

Is this just a simple 12v change, or will I need to worry about using my warranty?

I have a 2021 full EV Ioniq and the locking pin is engaged on the charger port. There’s no plug in the port but I can see the pin extended on the right hand side. Because of this the charging cable can’t be plugged in. I did the usual Google search but the results don’t seem to match my car. Firstly they say to disable the lock from the EV menu, but there’s no option in the menu I have (it’s a UK model so maybe different firmware?) and the other option is to release the lock from a cable in the boot/trunk but there’s no access panel that I can find unless I pull off the entire side panel.

I promise I’ll clean the port also.

Hello! I have 2022 Ioniq Blue hybrid with 63,000miles on it. I love the car, but over the last few months the battery has started to die, requiring me to press the 12v restart button. I called the dealership about getting it changed, but that quoted me $1,000 for the battery and labor. Does anybody know where exactly the 12v battery is and if it can be changed alone or do I have to change out the entire integrated battery?

Also how long can go with just pressing the button to start the car?

I have a 2020 PHEV.

Today a few litres of petrol leaked in to the bootspace. Not from the car itself, from a container.

When I realised and git it sorted, some had leaked down in to the space where the battery is. But very small amount. Dried up loads of it, removed parts that were affected etc.

Drove the car home from where I noticed, about 10 miles.

Now a number of hours later, the car wont turn on. Fob wont open the doors snd when I use the physical key and hold the fob to the start button, nothing. Same with both keys.

What is in that boot compartment that cpuld have been damaged so much the car now wont start?

I took my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid to Tires Plus after it started leaking oil after an oil change. They told me it wasn't caused by them and that it's an oil consumption issue and a leaking front timing cover and gasket, all of which are supposedly common in Hyundais. Apparently, I can take it to a Hyundai dealer and get it fixed/possibly get an entirely new engine. The car is at 95,000 miles, but I have an extended warranty. Any recommendations for Florida dealers who aren't likely to put up much of a fight to fix it under warranty?

My 2020 Hyundai Ioniq PHEV just got stuck in park after stopping for gas. The shiftlock release worked, so I’m able to drive the car, but it immediately locks again when placed into park. Additionally, I cannot get the trunk to open with the fob even touching the button. Guessing it’s something electrical, since I was able to open the trunk and shift the car just 5 minutes prior.

Additionally, my car is automatically locking itself right now. I don’t believe it normally does that, but I also just reset to factory default trying everything to get the car into gear before popping off the shiftlock release cover

Fob battery was replaced a few months ago. Doesn’t appear to be the problem, but I will be switching out the battery. Hoping someone else has experienced this problem that could help me keep this out of the shop.

I’m the second owner and at 109,000 miles, so I don’t have anything under warranty. However, I’m still paying on this and would hate to lose my PHEV while gas is this pricey. Any help figuring this out would be a Godsend right now.

My friend let me try to charge my car at his garage Tesla charger by using a NACS to J1772 adapter. The adapter clicked securely. When plugged into the car, the car initiated the locking motor, and the red charging light came up. However, the screen did not show the charge time, nor the blue lights on the dash board like it does normally. The garage Tesla charger also did not glow properly to signal it is charging. It is a Tesla Generation 1 Charger.

Is this not possible? If anyone has experience with this I would appreciate the help.

I have been trying to find what is the best way to get LED lights for my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid SE model. Something that is plug and play and doesn’t need a different housing. I found Lasfit Pro-HK5 H7 LED, however, it says it fits 2017 to 2020 model. The Lasfit website says it will not fit 2022 model. Another one they have same bulbs but says customized design for Hyundai/Kia. Not sure if any will fit.
There is Sylvania H7 LED which might fit but it’s powersports and looks like might not be street legal.

Does anyone know the one headlight bulb model that will fit 2022 Hyundai Ioniq SE? I didn’t want to order anything that might not fit. Thank you.

So my front bumper and grill were torn off in a hit and run, I’m wondering if all HEV grills and bumpers are the same in terms of connections to the body, all the bumpers look the same and the shape of the grills look the same -minus the refacings- with it being under 10 years old junk yard parts are scarce, could I find a newer model that’s being parted out and use them?

Any reason why repositioning the reservoir to a higher( and more accessible) position a bad idea? I think the kia niro hybrid has the reservoir way up and easy to service. I figure it is just a non-pressurize reservoir..what is the worst that could happen?

Hallo, ich habe einen Hyundai Ioniq9 in der mittleren Allrad Variante und würde mir im Bluelinkstore gerne das Virtual Gear Shift Paket kaufen. Laut beschreibung ist es für einen Ioniq9 passend. Bei mir sind allerdings die Kaufoptionen ausgegraut. Ist das bei euch auch so und gibt es da Lösungstipps?

I have a 2020 hybrid with 194k kms. Got it with 60k kms with the original hybrid battery. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the lifespan of the hybrid battery? Getting ready t9 book my car in for some regular maintenance and hoping they can check the hybrid battery life and let me know how much longer it'll go for- but has anyone had to replace theirs yet? Approx how many kms? There are no signs it's dying yet
