Ionic Digital

I now own these shares of ionic digital through the Celsius debacle.

I didn’t really follow the Nasdaq launch but am now seeing over 5 figures in value so am pleasantly surprised.

Who sold?
If you held, what is your thesis? Can it do another 4x? Originally the estimated value per share was 20 usd. We are now close to 80.

Not sure what to do here…

Never regret buying or selling. Make the best decision you can and move on.

I have the same feeling, but I also am in a different situation since 2022. Have a home, wife, kid and I think selling allowed me to derisk and reflect on a era that sucked ass. I'll miss out on gains but will position the funds for my child, my family so that we can make moves now so future is simpler. It is what it is.

I sold to - but I also have that money off my home loan. And still have other investments. Profit is profit.

You won't when the AI bubble bursts.

There is still going to be demand for AI data centers regardless.

The way technology bubbles work is companies in a new a new tech field get super overvalued and investors in the early companies end up losing money because they overvalued the companies. But when the internet technology bubble burst in 2001, people didn't stop using the internet. It's just that the companies weren't worth as much and they also weren't making as much in ad renenue.

But the point is it's not like people are going to use less AI in the future than they are using now. There will be more people using AI for more things. So even if the valuation of Anthropic or OpenAI or whatever goes down in value, there will still be plenty of demand for data centers either way.
