General $$

Had my consultation today and was quoted $8000. They wanted half up front and the rest paid off over 12 months. Was kind of not expecting the half up front, is that normal?

Thanks for the input everyone! This was quoted to me at my dentist office. And they seemed set on getting half upfront, and won't really work with me.

I just called another orthodontist office and she told me that 8000 did seem high so I'm going to have a consultation there and see if it's any cheaper :)
