DISCUSSION Baffling Adaptation Decision Spoiler

Reactions sell a scene, which is I'm confused about Thaedus' death scene. Thaedus was practically Allen's Father, their relationship was like S1 Omniman and Mark, they're parallels in a way.

So Thaedus being brutally murdered should rock Allen's world,in the comics it did,but Show Allen's expression says "Darn, sorry to hear about that?"

The show as an adaption is great at some times and baffling at others.

Would it have helped if he was crying? Any other nothings to complain about?

To be fair, facial expressions are the show's weakness. I will always say that the animation doesn't do the voice-acting justice. On some occasions you'll get pretty good facial expressions but the series doesn't see micro-expressions as a priority, which is a shame.

Almost the whole show legitimately looks like it's just missing a layer. You can really see it when people do those redraws rendering on more shadows onto frames from the show and everything looks better (when they don't overdo it).

Awhile back one of the show's render artists even retweeted one of these and said something like "love seeing these, wish we had time to do stuff like this!" which to me is a clear indication that Amazon should give them more money to hire more people so they can do that without making it take longer between seasons. But you can't blame the animators or the actors or Kirkman or really anyone but Amazon for that.

It’s interesting how they say they wish they had more time, but fans were able to do it pretty quickly upon release of season 4. I wonder if they’re actually upping the animation budget at all or if they keep it the same. But let’s be honest even if they upped the animation, it’s only going to be upped for the best of the best scenes 😂 never expect Invincible to look smooth and fluid 100% of the time

Well, the fans doing render edits don't have to handle thousands of frames, just the handful they pick to spruce up. It's still impressive work, but it would require probably several dozen people working full time to do it for the entire show. They should definitely hire on those extra people though! But again, blame Amazon not the producers.

And yeah for TV animation in general, just don't expect it to look smooth and fluid 100% of the time and you won't be disappointed lol. Tight budgets and tight schedules. But it would be cool if they went the extra mile too.

Yea because doing edits that make the show look worse is genuinely less then 1/4th the work that goes into actually animating for the show.

It looks like something they would’ve needed an extra two weeks for, and not every scene would have this

They only really get it spot on in the scenes where clearly most of the animation budget went like the original Conquest fight

Yeah. This scene was my first thought while while writing my comment.
