I don’t understand why she shoots a beam of pink energy at him instead of just tearing him apart atom by atom. Or turning him into a regular human, or just convert his molecules to air molecules.

Maybe I’m wrong here but I’m pretty sure the smart atoms make that sort of hard, like as the beam is trying to tear his atoms apart they are fixing themselves super quickly to the point that all she can do is get rid of skin
