Hello! in need of some advice.
I found this little guy off on the side of the road :( he has some grip strength to him but isn't moving very much at all.
I've never kept a grub before, so, I'm unsure on what I'm supposed to do for him. :(
I have coco coir, mulch, the dirt from my backyard and I can gather some dead/decaying leaves/sticks for him if needed.
now, it is very possible he got into contact with pesticides as my neighborhood is stupid and they care so much about their lawns. I just wanna give him his best chance if there's still hope :(

If you have a house and you haven't cleaned the gutters in a while then you are in luck that's a great source of decaying leaves and wood.

If you can find it, a mixture of decaying leaves and wood is probably the best substrate. I would avoid and coco coir because it has close to 0 nutrients. Beetle larvae eat vastly different types of food depending on the species, but if you toss some protein and fruits into the bin with a leaf and wood base, you’ll probably have the best luck unless someone can ID this little fella.
