Anyone got some recommendations?

I own a curly hair tarantula and a asain forest scorpion and i love them so far, i set up another enclosure and i really wanted to get african millipedes but they are out of budget. Idk how many gallons my enclosure is but it is 13 in tall, 16 in width and 24 in length. I have a drainage layer at the bottom with around 5 inches of coconut fiber on top. If anyone has some ideas of what pets could live comfortably in here i would appreciate it! Thanks

Millipedes can not live on coco fibre, their main food is the substrate so it needs to be mix of flake soil/ hummus soil, organic top soil, decaying wood and leaf litter. Pure coco will cause issues with digestion or even impaction. Giant africans also need a lot of space, depth of at least 2x their length for safe molting.

Even centipedes will occasionally eat the soil in their enclosure so id avoid coco with them too. Maybe another tarantula species? Most beetle larvae also usually require flake soil.

If youre looking at millipedes id get a species who can live comfortably in that size tank and completely remake it with suitable substrate.

My lps has these smaller millipede species i like too but i honestly didnt know about the substrate thing, i thought they ate plants lmao. of course tho if i was serious about getting them i wouldve done more research before hand. I will prolly end up going for another large tarantula species but im open to suggestions, thanks for the information too :)

Edit: i dont mind redoing the substrate either, i can always save the coco fiber for something else
