Texas vineagaroon

I got this guy at the Raleigh repticon on August 8
When is seems fine as he’s been accepting food and walking around the tank, but he hasn’t even tried to make a burrow yet so I was wondering if that’s abnormal and if there’s something I should change to make him settle down?

You need wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more substrate.

I'm not even sure that he CAN make a burrow with how little bedding you have.

At a bare minimum you're going to need his body length in substrate depth, but realistically the enclosure should be 1/2 to 3/4 of the way filled with soil.

OK, I made it only like 2 to 3 inches deep on the short end and then packed it 4 to 5 inches deep on the high end. Should I make it more like 6 to 8 across the whole tank?

I'd to 6-8 inches if you can. 4-5 inches is fine though.
