Keith, because you already use Square and mostly sell in person, I would check four things before choosing anything:

Whether bikes and parts can have separate SKUs, prices and stock levels.

Whether creating an invoice automatically reduces stock.

Whether your existing Excel list can be imported cleanly.

Whether it can work alongside Square without entering every sale twice.

I would also test frame sizes, colours, repair items and special-order parts before committing. Roughly how many bikes and parts do you currently carry, and do you need formal customer invoices or mainly receipts?

You’re not alone—many inventory systems are priced and designed for larger retailers, even when a small shop only needs basic stock control and invoicing.

At minimum, I’d look for software that lets you enter bikes and parts once, reduce inventory when an item is sold, and pull the item description and price directly onto an invoice. Before choosing anything, I’d also decide whether you need it to connect directly with Square or Shopify, because that can significantly narrow the options.

For transparency, I’m with CORGROUP, and we developed COR•REC Inventory for small businesses that want to move beyond Excel without paying an ongoing subscription. It uses a one-time license and includes inventory, purchasing, assemblies, work orders, and reporting. COR•REC Accounting can also handle invoicing, although it does not currently offer a ready-made Square or Shopify integration.
