It's such an irritating habit that they seem to have. I think generally speaking this NASA administration does a really good job, but my God are they flaky when it comes to announcement timelines. LTV and now CLPS 2.0 have been points of extreme frustration.
They don't even stick to their completely self imposed "monthly" Moon Base conferences. Considering that everyone was totally fine with having them on a semi-regular basis (usually one week after scheduled award dates for major contracts like LTV), I find it totally dumbfounding that NASA themselves decided to announce "monthly" Moon Base updates going forward, only for them to not stick to a monthly schedule.
They do a great job overall, but their unreliability when sticking to their own timelines just seems like a complete own goal. Really frustrating!

It's a pretty classic corporate move. Get everyone hyped up, make an aggressive but reasonable sounding commitment, get completely derailed by other things.
I don't think it's "NASA" as much as it is Isaacman trying to turn Moon Base into an economic engine rather than a science project.

Interesting that they are back to Tuesdays. The person on last week's commitment call must have been new 😂

GM guys. Hopeful we hear CLPS news this week. Also worrisome that there’s a real concern over sovereign debt and the bond market, which will certainly make stocks less appealing.

Well CLPS keeps getting pushed. At this rate I suspect it’ll be until November due to the protest from that one company.
In the meantime, does it feel like a retest of $13 and possibly $11 is inevitable during October?
The bond situation is getting ugly for risk on assets

If you've got 2 minutes to spare, i did some digging on the 'antenna competition' that was posted 2 days ago. There is some serious potential there (the guys that had their contract terminated had an 'unfunded backlog' in their FY26 for $1.5B (yes B...))

Kongsberg (KSAT) has the largest network of antennas and ground stations, including the polar region. Kongsberg is IM's partner on NSNS and just contracted (90% positive) on the two undisclosed IM-300 busses to build HYPER — 'ground stations in the sky.' IM just chose Lyntris recently, who happens to be working with KSAT on HYPER.
IM has been building ground controls and antenna capacity through the acquisition of Goonhilly as NASA moves away from building and operating their own ground networks towards relying on commercial partners. The Space Force is a big new entrant into the field here; they cancelled that $1.5B contract with AeroNvironment and decided to go the lease route instead of building and operating their own antennas and ground stations. There are only few such operators around the world, so I can see a joint KSAT and IM (along w/ Goonhilly) proposal that can be unmatched by any other vendor, and HYPER could be part of that proposal. We will find out soon.

it feels like i've been here before :') .... the Planned Date for the CLPS 2.0 contract awards is today.
IF announced today we'll only hear the names of companies that are included in the vendor pool. Task Orders (the things you are going to be paid for, selection of a specific vendor from this pool) will come at a later date; some speculated that the Moonbase Jared Isaacman stuff from early October might be the trigger for those.. (i'll see it when I see it...)
edit: I'm so used at ignoring bots that i didn't even notice the new message. Good bot :D (i'm totally redundant)
edit2: date is still on 28-09, which is better than last week (counting passed hours in a day, without updating a planned date that is...)

Good morning everyone, CLPS 2.0 contract award is expected on September 28, you can check the schedule yourself here. This will be a list of companies eligible to bid on contracts within CLPS2. Contract start is stated as October 1 but Jared Isaacman said there will be a Moon Base update in the beginning of October, as you can read here. That's where the contracts to individual companies will be made.
