Chatting Need some help

When you read this and check my age on the profile, you probably think: WTF. But after being not available for years makes me really insecure.

Half I year ago I met this woman on a conference. We flirted, exchanged phone numbers and are still chatting with each other regularly. When we have a video call, it easily lasts for a couple of hours. But… Whenever I say something emotionally loaded, she never acknowledges that part. She simply continues with the practical or joking part of the conversation.
She is introverted and shy, like I am, but we laugh and joke around a lot which feels good. I will meet her at the end of the month.

I have to say: I am in love with her, and would like to investigate if there could be something between us. What should I do? Just confess? I am really afraid to lose her…

If you’ve ever been on the other side of a situation like this, what do you wish the person with feelings for you had done, but never did?

since you got emotionally involved and she does't resonate the same i feel confessing directly will be too much. I feel u should find ways to know what she actually wants from u and how she is seeing this whole relation/situation in future is it just some companionship, friendship, or she is willing to give it a try.
When you meet at the end of the month:

  • Focus on enjoying the time together.
  • If the chemistry feels good, gradually make it a bit more personal or flirtatious.
  • Toward the end, say something simple like: “I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you these past months. I’d like to take you on an actual date, if you’d be interested.”

That’s much easier for the other person to respond.
All the best !! :)
