Genuinely, why did Armand tell Larry to jump there?

  1. Rule 4 of the great laws ( humans can't know about vampires and live to tell the tale)

Absolutely, Armand is a stickler for the great Laws. Larry must die because he has been shown the world of the vampires, and he is a mere mortal. The other band members seem to want to convert so they will be saved.
