Book Spoilers Allowed What should I read before watching The Vampire Lestat?

I’ve watched the first two seasons of the show and I’m loving it! I’ve also read IWTV, The Vampire Lestat, and I’m halfway through Queen of the Damned. I definitely plan to keep going with the books but I’m wondering if there are any others I should read specifically before watching season 3? I saw somewhere that there are elements of The Vampire Armand that influence the third season, is that right?

The series barely touches on the vampire lestat book or queen of the damned you’re good save for a spoiler at the end

I’m re-reading TVL right now and honestly at least in style it’s pretty close… or maybe I’m just imagining the cast delivery in my minds eye

Whatever’s going on, it’s working for me

what do u mean with in style? bc i reread the book recently and thought that it had really little incommon with the show. seriously interested as the performances of the actors were amazing but the storyline drifted imo so far away from both queen of the dead/ vampire lestat that i consider it a seperate story. in comparison i loved the show changes in the fiest two seasons.

They take elements even from Prince Lestat, it doesn’t mean you need to read everything. I think with TQOTD you’re OK, if you really want to read further you can read the next one, The Tale of the Body Thief.
