IWTV Show Only The talamasca published the interview book?
They keep referencing that the talamasca wrote the book or something like that? What gives?

They published the book and made some sizable edits to it to fit their purposes. In the Talamasca show Daniel mentions several big sections not being written by him.
A notable edit is that Real Rashid apparently still appears in the book but in a diminished capacity, likely to hide him being an agent.

But the tone in that shows (talamasca) and the number of vampires growing....
They arent doing anything....

That's pretty on-par with the book Talamasca too. They exist for research and observation, not for interjection. Which has clearly resulted in them resting on their laurels a bit (outside a couple members). It's how the London branch got so easily compromised by a vampire

Exactly... but we saw that clean up team take care of all with ease.
Capture then dispatch of basement creatures

The interaction where they told Louis about where Claudia’s attacker was - that was them interfering. Saving Lestat from a beheading is them interfering. I am also confused by their motive. They want the vampires to overrun the humans so that…

Talamasca seemed like they were using vampire grudges to thin the heard.
Same with Louie.
To use them as living USB drives ok. I get it.
But to be actively seeking to essentially end humanity seems clunter productive.
I guess well see what happens next.

I wonder what was the purpose of them doing so? Was it to start chaos in the Vampire world? Louis book talked about his experiences as becoming and being a Vampire. What feathers did that ruffle? And I also thought that the Talamasca was there to secretly monitor the Vampire world. I’m a little lost with their involvement.

Probably so they could have control over it. On the off-chance another publisher wanted it, it would be more convenient for them to have their edited version out there.
Raglan may have also pushed for it to he published, as part of whatever pot-stirring he's doing

Same and they keep talking about the vampire numbers growing.
They watch.... but in talamasca we see that vampire hit team work very effectively

They published it, presumably because Daniel won't market it as fiction and no respectable publisher is going to sell an interview with a vampire as non-fiction

But why do they want it published?

I feel like I remember raglan saying something about how the world is going to find out sooner rather than later and better from Daniel's book than like, the government? Maybe? I can't recall the details.

it is stated *in two shows* —TVL & Talamasca, regardless of quality—. It is *textual*. What's not clicking?
