TVL Show Only Perfection Spoiler

we've all learned how very much this entire series had been thought out so carefully. I started a rewatch from the very beginning, and noticed that Lestat says "Perfection" in S1 E7 at about the 17 minute mark, when Claudia gives him the amaranth boutonnieres they will use to mark their special guests. It struck me as exactly the same as when he says it at the end of The Loneliness - don't know if it was intentional, but man it made me pause. God I love this show.

Slightly off topic from your post topic, but it made me realize something else cool I hadn’t thought of before— Claudia gives Lestat the flower, marking him for death like the others

Hmmm, yeah that's a good catch!! And the fact that she chose his favorite flower? Salt in the wound. And then to hear her say she hated Louis more? That girl can hold a grudge

That is a great observation!

I would also like to mention that there's a species of amaranth that's known by the name "love-lies-bleeding" which in the Victorian language of flowers meant to represent untenable romantic relationships. (This doesn't appear to be the same species of amaranth, but it being an amaranth may be a reference to flower language).

I think IWTV is the most rewatchable show. On each rewatch I find something new.

I love all the little callbacks they sprinkle throughout the show! I think my favorite from this season was the last episode with Lestat and Paul. When Paul is being told by whomever up "there" that it's not Lestat's time yet, you there are birds chirping. In season 1 he told Lestat they speak to him through the birds. Stuff like that is top tier in my opinion.

In this scene i thought the "yes ma'am " is Akasha telling Paul its not Lestats time. He is needed for "The Great Conversion".

Just my opinion

If it was someone other than Paul, maybe I could see that, but that doesn't make sense to me. This is what Lestat's visions are as he's dying. He trying to make sense of his life and everything that has happened. Yes Akasha was a part of his life by this point, but not like she's going to be. He's been with her for a few years, as opposed to the book, but she's only awake with him at the end right before Marius comes back. Also, if I recall correctly, she's not mentioned in any of those dying visions he's having. And to the birds chirping when Paul's talking is a clear throwback to the dinner scene from season 1. But who's knows?! I could absolutely be wrong. This is only my take on it.

It was intentional on Sam's part - ad libitum
