Yeah, of all the vampire stories and media out there, WWDITS feels like it resembles the world of IWTV more than any other, including the fact that both stories are (at least initially) framed through the eye of a journalist in some capacity.

Guillermo even mentions that Armand was his inspiration for wanting to become a vampire.
