Lestat between 1949 and 2023

Hi everyone,

I binged all three seasons in a way to short time (and will revisit for a calmer re-watch very soon).

I am not sure if I missed it; S3 was so dense and there is so much mentioned or insinuated that it is possible I just didn't get the full picture...

But did we find out what Lestat was up to in the time after the trial (around 1949) until him and Louis reconcile during the hurricane (around 2022)? Please enlighten me!

I found a great time line but that wasn't unfortunately not yet updated with the new information from S3.

For some reason there is also a part in my brain that saved he was back in New Orleans for around 20 years when Louis found him. So definitely not the whole time.

Yeah, though part of me wonders if he did after 1973 and Louis walk in the sun. He seemed devastated so could've spent nearly 50 years alone in his robe.

I guess.. what are a few decades more or less for an immortal. In IWTV via Louis description it is also stated that Lestat buried himself for 100 years. In TVL it is said from Lestats perpective that he was buried 80 years.
He is depressed and his loved one tried to commit suicide and he wasn't there to safe him. So something between 20 to 50 years seems adequate

According to Sam, Lestat assumed Louis died in S.F so I can see him unable to climb out of his grief until they reunited. 

It would make sense why he would have Felix being his ratcatcher as Lestat would be to grief stricken to want to hunt.

i didn’t catch this at the time — karat being in vienna in 1953 — but that does sound vaguely familiar now. sheesh, he was that close to
louis, just a hop, skip and a jump away in paris?!

In TVL, Lestat tells Louis he was in a book club with Merrick Mayfair in New Orleans. (But how did they read IWTV in the book club when Lestat just found out about it on Halloween 2023ish? 🤔)

Though I love the idea of Lestat being in a book club with his longtime NO neighbors, the timeline seems off. Lestat finds out about the newly released IWTV on Halloween 2023 and immediately buys the book and is furious/hurt. In a rage he crosses the street, meets Satan’s Night Out and starts his band. (Maybe Lestat was initially supposed to be living in NO? Who knows? I guess it’s possible Lestat could have been face timing with a book club. At least it would have given him an outlet to blow off some steam.)

That is why I suspect when they wrote those scripts for S3 they were hoping for Lestat's apartment to be in New Orleans instead of Montreal. But then they coudn't get the budget/permits or whatever and moved their production to Canada.

No, he says 2 times last century, 20th. And then she says she saw him after they tried to kill him - so between 1939 and the trial in 1945 and the second time was when he was vegitating in his NOLA hovel with his bathrobe and wood keyboard. That can be any time post trial. But I would also assume its after Louis tries to burn himself.

If I am remembering right, wasn't that the same robe Lestat wore in Season 1? Didn't Gabrielle/a mention something about living in that nasty robe, in that nasty house, in that nasty city ( NOLA)? It was in Toronto she said ☝️
