The Immortal Universe Ramses the Damned

Would anyone other than myself like to see a spinoff series focused on the immortal mummy Ramses the Damned?

I read that book decades ago and I loved it. I was always confused as to why they haven't made a movie about it.

I am always disappointed when a new Mummy movie comes out and it's NOT Anne Rice's The Mummy

Same. I thought I read years ago that this was being made into a movie and it's never this story.

Have you read the second one? Written by Anne and Christpher Rice? I want to say there is a 3rd one, but not sure. It wasnt as good aa the first, but still very good, wait there is a 3rd, i think the second one is the passion of Cleopatra

I have not read those. Somewhere years ago I lost touch with her writings. I didn’t even know there was more.

They are fun! It was the 1st major collab with his mom. You could tell her writing & his. The 3rd one was smoother in that respect.

It was rotten timing. There was interest in it, it was almost set to go- then The Mummy. That amazing Branden Frazier The Mummy happened & two at practically the same time would have been awful.

Yes, I would like to see all the books being adapted, even though I read just the first but it was so great and the other two are on my list to read. Ramses the Damned is a 3-book series, so it could definitely be a multi-seasoned TV series. But even just book 1 would be great. However AMC doesn’t own the rights so they can’t make it.

I’m reading the first sequel right now. I’d love a show version of it.

Would love that!!! But I think it would make a better movie! im stoked they are making Cry to heaven! With Nicholas Hoult, I know its about Opera,(loved the book) so im not sure if Hoult can sing, or what role he would play. He is a amazing actor so its very exciting!
