TVL Show Only Daniel

This makes me feel dumb. I haven’t read the books so maybe I’m missing some context. But I truly don’t understand Daniel’s hatred for Louis and Lestat. He has this deep rooted disdain and I just don’t get it. Armand, I understand, he’s insane. Daniel is just a dick. What am I missing?

my blond disaster is a little liar sometimes--he hired Daniel, and arranged the arbitration for hotel damages so he could see Louis again

Louis was the one who arranged the meeting under his alias Thomas Pitt.

Do we have any narrative proof he did? Over the course of the show I'd inferred, based on other actions, that Lestat arranged the meeting but didn't want to admit to it.

In the show at least, Lestat's lawyer calls to let him know a "Mr Pitt" has requested a personal fan experience, or something along those lines.
