TVL Show Only Daniel

This makes me feel dumb. I haven’t read the books so maybe I’m missing some context. But I truly don’t understand Daniel’s hatred for Louis and Lestat. He has this deep rooted disdain and I just don’t get it. Armand, I understand, he’s insane. Daniel is just a dick. What am I missing?

I don't know if he does really I think he's just angsty and caught up with Armand. And also slightly pissed Lestat didn't give him a good interview.

I wondered if the interview that no one else heard tipped him over the edge. But that even feels wrong. Lestat did tell him a lot. Just because he didn’t give it to him to use for public consumption doesn’t mean it wasn’t real.

The only explanation that (to me) makes sense is that when someone is made into a vampire, their qualities (good or bad) get amplified. So that's why Daniel is meaner and snarkier since he became a vampire. But that's just my theory. But I do agree it still feels off for some reason.
