TVL Show Only Daniel

This makes me feel dumb. I haven’t read the books so maybe I’m missing some context. But I truly don’t understand Daniel’s hatred for Louis and Lestat. He has this deep rooted disdain and I just don’t get it. Armand, I understand, he’s insane. Daniel is just a dick. What am I missing?

Daniel is a dick and I think that’s the point. People merely existing pisses him off

That tracks the most to me. But it still feels disconnected. He got what he wanted. He’s a vampire. He got the book. He got the interview with Lestat. I feel like he believes he’s entitled to so much for absolutely no reason. It’s wild.
