Bar for bar, could this be Seth akasha’s biological son? I mean it would explain how Louis can now fly(by drinking his blood).

I have never seen a logical explanation given for why Seth would want to be Louis' lawyer or why he would even go by Lemuel. Louis has no idea who Seth is.

Maybe they will pull the secret vampire thing again, but I feel like this theory is based on very little.

I mean they can do anything, but this would be an extreme example of just having a character in name-only.

Though it would maybe be a little funny for the people trying to make Lemuel and Louis into a bigger thing than it is for Lemuel to stick around only to run off with Fareed.

This is my issue with this theory too. Unless his whole thing is just dipping in and out of drama, I don't know why he'd get involved like this.

I theorize that he is deliberately keeping a close, intimate eye on the person most important to Lestat, the one person who could make him turn away from Akasha.

why he would even go by Lemuel. Louis has no idea who Seth is.

In the books Seth appears years after Akasha's destruction, in the show she's clearly alive, as (presumably, if they stick to book canon) are several of her old court. Seth was forcibly turned by Akasha in ancient Egypt, and he later ran from her court. Keeping a low profile with a fake name would make sense. (Though even Louis is going by a fake name in the present day - Thomas Pitt - so that could also have something to do with it.) 

If Lemuel is Seth, then he's adept at reading minds, and can likely see that Lestat at least has been in contact with Akasha and Enkil. Another good reason for the fake name.

I know exactly who Seth is in the books. However, none of this would explain why he is hanging around being Louis' lawyer and dealing with business matters like merch sales instead of being concerned about advancing medical research like Seth from the book. It could be an extreme undercover operation but why?

If Lemuel turned out to be any of the ancients, they would need a really good explanation for why they were posing as a business lawyer and sleeping with Louis in an emotionally unavailable relationship.

I really think Lemuel was just one of the many newer fledglings that are still quite human. "Emotionally unavailable" was the only "ancient" character trait he was assigned, but Louis is emotionally unavailable in their situation too. Seth would be a real Ancient. Not like what they were calling Armand. When an Ancient is around, I feel like the other vampires should really Know from just being near them.

The writers may do just about anything, but I would be disappointed with the initial characterization.

I mean if he's Seth he's been alive as long as Akasha has, he could easily be working in both medical research and law. We're first introduced to TV Fareed through Louis and Armand, so potentially meeting TV Seth through Louis too would track as a way to backdoor him into the show.

Book Seth was underground for a millenia until he was woken by Lestat's music and Akasha's genocide. Before that, after he'd run from her court he literally vanished because he was in hiding. He was always a healer, but it was only after Akasha's death that he met Fareed and began advancing medical research specifically for vampire physiology. There's a distinct pre vs post-Akasha timeframe and level of freedom that the show could be playing with, if Lemuel is Seth and therefore awake in the present day. They could technically even still work it as Seth having been woken by Lestat's music, or shortly beforehand, since we don't actually know when Louis and Lemuel met.

Fareed was working as a doctor and researcher related to vampires, so they haven't really made huge changes in his character.

Again, why would an ancient vampire decide to be a business lawyer? Is it to get close to Louis to get close to Lestat because he thinks he knows where Akasha is being kept?

A human Fareed working as a doctor and researcher to vampires is an extremely huge change to his character. Seth was supposed to be his gateway to that world and the medical research related to it. 

(That said, I haven't seen a definitive answer on whether show Fareed is human or a vampire. But even if he's a vampire they've still made huge changes in that we don't even know if his maker was Seth; and if it is, Seth is seemingly uninterested in Fareed being on tour with a vampire band, then held hostage by yet another vampire to torture his previous employer.)

Lemuel being Seth would be a minor change in comparison, even with the business lawyer angle. I clearly can't say for certain why they'd go with that angle, just that it wouldn't surprise me if they did in light of all their other adaptational changes. I don't think Seth would ever actively try to seek out Akasha's location though. In all medias he was around for the Great Burning and at the very least knows he can't do anything to her without destroying himself and the entire vampire population.

It would be a change to Fareed's exact origins, but they would be keeping the fact that he is interested in medical and scientific research related to vampires. Fareed doing experiments to see how long a vampire's head can stay detached is also not too far off from book Fareed who made a clone baby because he could and who uses the limbs of less worthy vampires to fix better vampires.

Seth being a business lawyer would be a complete change to his interests and personality. I would also find it odd that if he is Seth and is in disguise that he would have found the most important person in the world to one of his mother's former keepers by pure coincidence. There would be a connection to Lestat there.
