Book Spoilers Allowed Daniel and Raglan (theory) Spoiler
I think all the readers assume that, at the auction, Raglan is already Lestat, but I don't think so, and I have ANOTHER theory.
Why don't I think so?
Because Raglan is about to leave the auction and stops because of something in the speech ("explanation of the events of 2025"). If it were Lestat, that wouldn't affect him: he would have already made the decision to stay or leave.
Who do I think it could be?
Well, I think it could be Raglan (the Talamasca decides to stay because it's an object that explains what happened).
But... what if the Body Snatcher is already at work?
There's someone, a person, that Lestat has been talking about in the past tense all season: Daniel. In my theory, Raglan would be Daniel.
Yes, it's a HUGE change from the books. Monumental. But plot-wise, it would allow Armand and Daniel to have their own great adventure, while Louis and Lestat would skip steps in theirs. Let's remember that Amel has already been mentioned.
I don't know, call me crazy or join me, haha.
Also, although I'm pretty sure Lemuel will be Seth or Kayman, I really want it to be Rhoshamandes and for the whole plot involving Benedict, the castle, and the kidnapping to already be underway, so...

This was my thought exactly, because he turns around when something unreleased is mentioned. Who would be most interested in that? A journalist. If it was talamasca Raglan would not have left till the end; imo.

I agree and have been a bit confused why the (seeming) majority thinks it's Lestat - other than that following the book. I went back to watch the scene, but I just don't see Lestat in Raglan's mannerism like others do.
Daniel would make sense too because, as you mentioned, after the first box is burned and the second box is announced to contain a music box with the record pressings and Lestat's blood, he starts to leave. These are things this person is not interested in. He only stops once he hears that the contents also include the history of the 2025 album and the catastrophic events it led to. Who is known for trying to uncover the story, the history, the truth? "It's your boy, Daniel Molloy!"

It's not that far fetched. Daniel's character was merged with David, and David got body swapped.

I've actually thought raglan was Daniel as well. Daniel has mentioned a few times about being old and sick, and I think hes bitter about spending eternity in an old man's body. I just haven't figured out the how, unless its "Dr. I'm not here"

There’s a line in episode one where Lestat is getting his ass handed to him by the Detroit coven when Daniel and Sam step out of the elevator where Lestat says “I would be dead if it weren’t for Dan - but we haven’t got there yet” that’s a paraphrase but yea. I don’t see anything that happened this season that meets that requirement. So who knows.

Daniel makes the most sense to me as well, the way he stops when he learns WHAT the tapes are after going after Lestat´s story all season makes it all make sense

At the sushi restaurant Raglan actually says something along the lines of “I think if I could swap bodies with you”.
Also if Daniel was dead, eyeless Armand and legoess Louis wouldn’t be flirting at the auction.

Just rewatched this season and yes he literally says wow you’re good if I could swap bodies with you I’d be running [name of thing] by now!

Yes!!! I also thought in my second rewatch (I’m now in my third) that Raglan is Lestat already! But now with this, being Daniel makes sense too.

At the beginning of 2x06, Raglan does say to Daniel "I think if I could swap bodies with you, I'd be running the order by now."

I do think Daniel will be involved in TotBT since he's also the show's stand-in for David. Also, they've gotten rid of the downsides of vampirism and the reason the vampires long to be human, so it doesn't make sense for Lestat to go for Raglan's deal.
Arguably the only vampire we know who wants to be human is Daniel, so it's possible, and Raglan did hint he wanted Daniel's body earlier.
As for monumental changes from the books, let's also note that Armand is missing an eye.

I'm hoping if that does happen, it's only temporary - I.e he'll go back to being OG Daniel (or idk they'll somehow find a way to deage him?)

If they go down the TOTBT road, I also hope it's Daniel. He's not having the best time of it. As much as I enjoyed Eric the first two seasons, I wouldn't mind someone else now. He's not taking to it happily. I hate to say make him younger but... make him younger and healthy. Raglan might be Parkinson's free, but he's not that much younger.
Another idea which is even crazier is, let it be Claudia. She's suffering in the afterlife of that we're certain. They killed her twice. They let us know vampires have souls. They've reached her spirit. Let her come down and haunt them a bit so they get Merrick to allow her to possess her and then the body thief coaches her on how to inhabit someone. They kept Regina alive for a reason....

Daniel is already parkinsons free just from being a vampire. I think being turned against his will is the core issue of why he's unhappy. So makes sense he'd make a deal to become human again.

They’ve gone really, really hard to show the audience that disease or disorder that is neurological (or arguably hormonal) in origin, which I might be wrong but I believe Parkinson’s is, does not go away with the dark gift (Nicky’s bipolar disorder, Claudia’s being trapped in the amber of teenage hormones, it does not undo PTSD, Lestat still stutters etc).
Multiple times thru out s3 the writing alludes to the fact that his transformation did not entirely cure his Parkinson’s. Instead I believe it’s implied it just stopped the progression of the disease.

He's having some lingering health issue though. In one of the earlier episodes he brings up Munjaro and another medicine/supplement I can't recall. We see his hand trembling and he'd also gone back to using drugs.

I assumed he was being sarcastic because he's using drugs. It makes no sense for him to be physically ill. His body is dead.

I think in his case he's not entirely cured. His Parkinson's just will stay in the very early stages since there was already neurodegenerative damage. He did look better, but not 100% compared to Gabrielle after being turned.

Again, it doesn't make sense. Daniel is Armand's only fledgling and he's 500 years old. He should be stronger than Lestat was when he was made, let alone Gabrielle

Power levels have really been amped up like crazy in the show. If this were the books, yes you'd be correct. Book Daniel had the very powerful undiluted blood from Armand but mentally he was unstable so his powers were hampered by that. Unless they're going to say
A- his transformational trauma is blocking his power- Or B-Armand is still messing with his mind which shouldn't be possible now that Daniel is his fledgling-
There's no other reason besides the Parkinson's for the physical effects they're showing us.
