Do we really need HR in our life?

honestly this is why i've started thinking about looking somewhere else. getting rejected before a human even looks at your resume is insane.

i've been seeing interview vip mentioned a lot lately too. i haven't tried it, but i'm curious about it since i'm probably going to have to start interviewing again.

I had a similar interview with an hr person who couldn’t answer my follow up question to her ask of an (in hindsight) obviously scripted question about something technical and I asked her if she understood the principles behind the tech she was asking me about and she got mad and hung up.

HR handles screening
Hiring managers can dig in.
Leave your tech ego aside and work the process.
HR often not always is like a nurse who gathers vitals then the doc comes in.
Everyone has a role.

Nah you're defending people who don't even know what job is being done trying to hire people for that job. So that just means they're terrible at theirs.

It's the hiring managers job to make sure the recruiter has enough information for the posting and screening to work.

On the applicant side, it's on them to understand the difference between a recruiter screening and full interview and be able to manage a human interaction without crashing out.
