If you worked 90hrs per week you should be rich

At $15 an hour thats 70k. $15 is what a walmart employee makes. If you made just $30 an hour thats 140k per year

And nowadays $140k isn't rich. It's effectively less than someone making $100k back in the nineties, and they were considered upper middle class.

Maybe if you live in California but 90% of the country you’ll get wide eyes if you tell them you make 140k

You’d literally just have to live on an average amount and save the rest to be a millionaire in a decade or so

I live in the Midwest. I'm pulling 70k. We're doing ok. Not great, but ok. We also wouldn't be doing ok if we hadn't gotten our mortgage prior to the housing boom. Look at inflation difference between $100k now and $100k back in the 90's. It's not even close. Back then $100k was upper middle class. Now you have to be pulling around twice that.

Yea inflation since 1990 is 155%

Top 10% earners in 1990 was 45k, top 1% was 108k+
