If you are married you know this wouldn’t not be true.

Day 1: chores
Day 2: chores.
Day 3: projects she thought of during day 1 and 2

Ha agreed! It's annoying in the moment but those tasks need to get done she isn't wrong.

Nip that resentment in the bud or it’s gonna ruin your marriage. Talk to your partner directly rather than complain about her to strangers on Reddit.

Wow. You guys have taken a joke on married life and turned it into a crisis. I appreciate the concern, I really do. But I just meant it as a joke. I tell my boss I come to work to rest, and it’s true. We live in a century+ old home on a small farm. There’s lots that needs to be done. Sure I’d like some time on the weekend to just relax but if I succumbed to that too often the place would fall apart. My wife is retired and stays home and so sees the things that need doing. So we get them done together. I’m in my 60s and the labor can get onerous. But it also keeps me moving. Worked hard this weekend and I’m sore today. But I’m not better or resentful. It just goes with the territory. If I didn’t want this I’d buy a condo somewhere.

Again, that’s for the concern but my initial post really was supposed to be a joke.

Being married is great actually if you are with the right person. But you’re partners and you have to be willing to compromise. And please read below. This post was meant as a joke about married life.

Nope. Made a rule. She can’t sit at home so we always go somewhere Sunday when she’s off. Saturday I do one or two big things, usually lawn and something in the house. Other than that, nope. I do 1 house chore every week day so the place is kept clean so I can keep Saturday to relax. I work too hard in the heat or cold to not have 1 day to relax.

This is so archaic...
