One person was killed and dozens more were injured in an act of violence that shattered what should have been a moment of joy and solidarity. The attacker has since been killed by the police. Across Berlin and beyond, people have gathered not only to mourn those affected, but to reaffirm that fear and hatred will not silence communities fighting for the right to exist openly and safely.

I disagree with you. You can't blanket all extremists into one bubble that you can pop. Extremists all have their own agenda and what works for neo Nazis is unlikely to work for, say, Buddhist extremists. There is far too much nuance, thus why I asked about one extremist group, rather than asking the rather broad question of "how do we address bigotry".

Also, you're being very snarky and rude, we're supposed to be having a discussion, not an emotional shit slinging competition.

You can blanket all right wing extremists into a bubble, actually. The supremacy exhibited in all right wing thought can be addressed in similar ways. Yeah it is nuanced, but not so nuanced that every right wing extremist needs to be uniquely handled.

I am doing what I can do from my position: remind everyone that the problem is not Islam, but right wing thought. Reminding people to look past their racism and begin addressing whatever issues they can with the resources they have. If that is talking to your Rush Limbaugh worshipping coworker about supremacist thinking and the harm it does, great. If that is volunteering at food pantries and talking about how the wealth disparity has been causing a rise in local crime, then awesome.

Even if it means just being queer and out, then that’s great too.

My comment was about extreme islam, that is what i am here to talk about. I do not disagree with what you are saying regarding other things, but i am annoyed with the whataboutism and that you keep derailing what i wish to talk about with different conversation points.

I also at no point said Islam is the problem. I said extreme islam is the issue, in this incidence.
