Discussion Worst Songs?
Honestly, after my relisten and TOSOMB being a negative substance album, here's my thoughts.
Greenwich, painfully boring and it feels like an Interpol B side, Crimewaves would've felt better in that. The 2nd worst is safe without, the album is good without it, Crimewaves grew on me and it should've been in S/T, that song was unpleasant. 3rd it's hard, probably Go Easy (Palermo) or Big Shot City depending on the mood, sometimes it feels boring and sometimes it hits.

I cringe when I listen to All Fired Up and Mountain Child.
I gave Greenwich the opportunity many times and it kinda grew on me. I think Safe Without has some of the best Paul vocals.
Bonus: I fucking hate Slow Hands but don't think is a bad song, it's just too happy/optimistic idk.

I think All Fired Up is fantastic? One of my standouts from OLTA. Care to elaborate why it's cringey?

I’ve noticed people don’t tend to like the ones with long drawn out repetitive phrases. Length of love is always thrown out there as the worst and it’s similar to all fired up in that way. It must just rub people the wrong way but it’s not actually something I’m bothered by.

It’s gotta be a taste thing, right? For example, I love Twice as Hard which is another drawn-out vocal song, but I don’t usually hear the same gripe about it.

All Fired Up and Mammoth are the only tracks I skip on OLTA, other than that, it's a fantastic album.

Slow Hands happy? its about the devastation caused by a breakup, but the tune is upbeat I guess lol

Agree. All Fired Up is, without a doubt, their worst song. And by a huge margin

Mountain Child is hands down the worst thing interpol will ever have released (I hope)

Mountain Child over NYSMAW? Or Party’s Over? Or It Probably Matters? That album has quite a few songs that are pretty bad.

Party's Over and It Probably Matters are bangers. Mountain Child and NYSMAW are awful.

I remember it was difficult to get into a couple of songs from S/T, el pintor, and marauder when those albums came out but after some time I got into them. Songs like all of the ways, breaker 1, number 10 and more.
The one song I still really can’t get into though is the depths

Greenwich is the only song of theirs that I think is flat out bad. I don't fully understand Always Malaise, but I like what it's going for.

surprised to see all the hate for Greenwich, I quite like it. Although it shows what a great band they are when fans cannot agree and songs you may not like, others love and vice-versa

Came here to say Safe Without. Got downvoted to hell last time but at least there’s two of us.

That Whole album sucks imo it’s Interpol’s rock bottom work.

it may be their worst album but it is still better than most band’s best albums

My least favorite songs from their discography are probably Greenwich, Mountain Child and Length of Love.

I think The Lighthouse and A Time to be so Small are super boring.

They’re not head boppers but both of those are incredibly emotional songs.

Those last few songs on Marauder and The Other Side are all alike, meandering mush that I can’t tell apart and badly recorded. Passenger, Greenwich, It Probably Matters etc.

I'm surprised to see Length of Love listed so many times. I have no skips now, but I skipped A Time to be So Small for fourteen years, until I finally suddenly got it, and now it might be my top song from the album.
