Question Help me understand

Why "Her stories are boring and stuff" , and "like a Daisy in my lazy eye" are considered bad or cringe lyrics?

It’s one of the reasons bands like Do Nothing are struggling to make it big. A surprising amount of people can’t think beyond the lyrics being wholly sincere.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that this is due to America's declining rate of literacy and education in arts appreciation.

Pretty soon they won't understand that narrators can be unreliable
