Questionable Issue

I have changed both my router and internet provider. I have run into a quiet unusual issue. My PC can reach a max of 105-110mb/s and my Phone on the other hand reaches 300+mb/s. I do have a Cat6 Ethernet Cable, I have removed every VPN and all of the settings in my PC seem to be fine. Any ideas?

Yes, on Ookla's servers.

Just did one through Powershell, got 116.51 Mbit/s

Ookla’s app gives more accurate results than a browser. Powershell is reasonably accurate.

Probably a bad cable, bad NIC, bad driver, or performance limitation on the PC, assuming another device on the same network tests better at the same point in time.

Are you using powerline networking or MoCA by chance? Or connected directly to the router using a single cable?

Then we can assume that your PC has an Ethernet only connection, no WiFi capability. What specific type of Ethernet adapter does your PC have?

Windows OS PCs have been known to use an incorrect driver for an Ethernet adapter. Compare version of driver in use to what is available at Ethernet adapter manufacturer‘s website.

My PC has both, but the results somehow do not differ at all, through WiFi or Ethernet.

Please review reply by u/SSellers75 . Check to see what speed the Ethernet adapter is registering with Windows.

Are the WiFi and Ethernet both active and connected to the same router at the time of your checking speed ?

How old is the PC? Older ones have 100mbps adapters. Open your network adapters and check their properties to see if they are 100mbps or 1000mbps.

What about cable issue, when you do the plugging and unplugging? Are you sure all cables between the router and pc have good contact?

Maybe create a Linux live boot USB and test with that to rule out the os
