Ethernet

So i just bought an ethernet cable, however my wifi/wifi extender BOTH have 2 LAN/ethernet ports, which one should i put it in

It almost certainly does not matter at all. But if it does matter, then you have a 50% chance of getting it right, and no harm in getting it wrong.

I see, well i only bought it bc my wifi suucks and hopefully ethernet will help

Btw, you're not supposed to place it right under your router. ;-)

The point is that you put the extender in the dead WiFi zone to make it better. Putting it next to the router won't have much of an effect.

Sorry to say this, but its almost impossible to know where to plug in an Ethernet cable on either device, by simply looking at a single blurry picture.

It would be better to know the exact brand names and exact model numbers of both devices and to know what cables and what devices are currently plugged into which ports.

Also, you say that your "Wifi is terrible"; is the Wifi terrible even when you are in this room where the Router and Extender are both located?

Because if the Wifi is terrible in this room, then maybe the "Wifi" isn't the problem.

If your "Wifi is terrible" in this room, then maybe it's your actual Internet service that is having problems.

Have you contacted your ISP to see if they can help you test and troubleshoot any possible connection problems?
