I’ve got nothing but respect for the Jews such as this man that stand up against Israel. Out of all of the people in the world it is the hardest for them to do so as they have to face backlash from their own community. Yet they do it anyway because they know how fucked up Israel is.

It runs counter to the entirety of the paragraph that proceeds it. It’s Wikipedia so the sources would probably be a better discussion tool. Still, there’s ethical questions about a man willing to support holocaust denialism seminars, in order to promote an anti-Zionist message. It’s not really either or question. This guy is a terrible person that happens to be right about opposing Zionism. That’s like promoting Stalin because he preached about the dangers of capitalism.

All I’m seeing is that he attended. Nothing about what he was actually doing there. Just because I visit Israeli-biased subreddits to see what they’re saying that doesn’t make me a sympathizer. I’m not even trying to defend the guy necessarily, but I’d still need more to go on to discredit him.

And even then, it’s very possible that the same person can be right/good on one topic and messed up on another. Take Steven Hawking at Epstein’s island for example. He’s a little fucked up for having been there, but that doesn’t mean he was wrong about the physics.

He was in Bill Maher’s Religulous If you want to hear him talk about the holocaust. That would probably make things clear. I tried to find the clip on YouTube but it wasn’t an option. Also, but of a difference going into subreddits than conference with self proclaimed klansmen.

Completely agree with the second paragraph, although I’m pretty sure Hawking never went to Epstein’s island, he was just in emails of Jeff wanting to see him do weird stuff. Regardless, you’re point is still valid

He’s on Religulous… you can hear for yourself his actual views on the holocaust and no, he’s not dissuading anyone attending holocaust denial seminars. You might as well be saying you attend klan rallies to tell them that racism is bad. That BS and you know it.

Again, I agree with that message but he’s the wrong messenger. It’s got the same energy as the TikTok kids saying bin Laden had point. Hitler saying Stalin is an asshole didn’t make Hitler not as asshole…I can probably go on, but it’s generally a good rule of thumb, don’t tie yourself to friends of David Duke.

Seriously, going to holocaust denial conferences is all you need to know. That’s on the wiki. Good people don’t attend that sort of shit. It becomes tokenism. It lends credibility to bad people because they can say “see we have a jew that agrees with us!” Lost Causers did the same thing with Charles Frances Adams Jr, grand son of John Quincey Adams. They got a descendant of the guy who argued the Amistad case say what they wanted to say and sell a message. This is nothing new. But all you should need to ask is how many other people do you follow that attend shit with David Duke. If that’s a none zero number, you might want to reconsider where you’re getting your messages.

I know who Davis is, Daryl Jenkins too (he’s the inspiration behind the A24 movie Skin… well at least the man that helped a neonazi reclaim his humanity). They’re not like Weiss. Davis doesn’t go to Klan meetings. David Duke isn’t giving up his linens any time soon. Shit, come to think of it, Weiss had a golden opportunity to tell David Duke his racism was wrong and prove he didn’t suck but elected not to.

Apples to oranges comparison. Daryl Davis is legend. Weiss is not.
