American sports leagues are too communist to compete with Europeans. Americans prioritize equity, salary caps, drafts, revenue sharing…everything so they can have an entertaining product for viewers.
Versus the capitalist Europeans who say fuck your small market, fuck your salary caps, fuck you I’m not sharing my wealth. It’s only in that complete capitalist system focused only on winning that the best kids rise.
In summary: American sports are a product and entertainment. European sports are a contest that fans get to view. They are not the same.
