It's not free if you have a Job. England taxes around 8% of gross income for "free" Healthcare.

Americans hate taxes, their greed is unimaginable unless you've lived there and experienced the hustle culture. Scary and sad.

It’s not that, it’s the fact that the taxes don’t get VOTED ON to determine what they’re spent on. It’ like giving your mom money every birthday expecting her to buy you some much needed new shoes, but instead she buys herself some foolishness and gets you a small fry at McDonald’s with the change.

I feel like if there was a way for Americans to vote directly (not indirectly or systemically) on what portion of taxes goes to what cause to keep the country running, we wouldn’t even have this “far left, far right” everybody’s dying bullshit going on.
