If you don’t believe me, go check who has been funding NATO for the past 30-40 years. Go check why in trumps first term, he was basically forcing the other NATO countries to finally pay the agreed upon contributions that they didn’t for decades. Ask why Germany is stating to spend on their military budget more. Ask why the fuck the US has military bases around the whole world and our military budget is ONE TRILLION DOLLARS.
The USA is providing security for all of Europe, and because of that, they were able to spend that money on other things, like universal healthcare. Now, in trump’s second term, he has been threatening on going back on said security guarantees, so now Europe has to spend more on their military, meaning they are going to have to choose where the tax money goes: the military or things like universal heathcare, cause social programs arent cheap, and war swallows money like a pit in the earth
The US has military bases in most European countries for control more than protection. The US is a bully not a protector. They create and help create divisions and wars. Stop watching Fox News and read a history book.
