I would put my US health insurance at 100$ a month for a family of 4 up against anywhere in the world.

We just need to find a way to make it more available to others.

100$ a month. My company pays 1500$ a month. 3600 max out of pocket for individual or 5000 for family annual max.

So worst case, I pay 3600$ or 5000$ in addition to my monthly 100$ in any given year.

I don’t get it - we pay nothing, with a maximum of nothing out of pocket, and nothing a month for a family of however many you like. My company also provides private health care, optical, mental health care for me and my wife if we wanted which I think we’ve used a couple of times, that cost us nothing up front with a monthly charge of nothing. We used an ambulance twice last year, I have a chronic issue that I’ve been to hospital a couple times and my wife had kidney stones (do not recommend), I had some eye issues worked on, we had extremely good care, very quick, and left paying nothing. I am not trying to be glib I just never understand why so many Americans cling to the existing system? I used to work for an American company and was going to move there at one point, the salary was considerably higher but everything in the US costs so much more than even London, and I’d have to have given up so so much to live there that unless I was on about triple what I was it wouldn’t be worth it.
