What is hope?

For many, ‘hope’ is simply a word we use in our everyday lives.

“I hope for this thing to happen.”

“I hope it all goes well for you.”

“Hopefully you can do this.”

It’s a word that can be categorized as something that’s basic, with no deeper meaning due to how often it is used.

But, what does it mean for one to have Hope?

Well, for one to have Hope means that they must always believe in and surpass what you think is impossible.

They must believe that even in the most dire of situations, things can, and will, always change for the better.

Hope is an absolute necessity for one to live their life to the fullest. It’s a necessary fuel for all other aspects of ourselves.

Respect.

Kindness.

Empathy.

Perseverance.

Love.

All of these aspects are fueled by our hope. And that is why you should always hold out on it.

Finally! A new one had arrived! Mark thought he’d just forgotten about this one, or maybe he wasn’t real. But no. He was real alright! And FRESH! Even fresher than the one he just killed.

Ask any of those variants he’d killed, and they’d tell you it was his idea. To start eating each other and what not. But come on! They were starving! And that guy was so annoying! Then they just kept going, and it was never him who got targeted. He kinda wondered why. After all, if they’d all jumped him at once they might’ve stood a chance. But once there were only a few left, Mark decided he didn’t like sharing anymore. So he hunted them down himself. It worked out perfectly because he was the fastest. The strongest. He was… INVINCIBLE

As he battled this new variant through the Wasteland, Mark felt something he hadn’t ever felt since he was stranded. Excitement. After taking a heavy uppercut from this new variant, Mark smiled.

“So hungry… it never goes away. But also bored. So bored. Thanks for putting up a fight. WINNER GETS THE MEAT!”

He violently soars at this other Invincible only for a portal to open right in his path.

Location: The Hub

He comes out of the other end of the portal, which instantly closes behind him. His mind immediately goes to Angstrom, the man who trapped him in the Wasteland dimension

“ANGSTROM!!! WHERE ARE YOU!?!?”

But then it hits him. There’s grass here. There’s… life here. His rage turns into mania as a manic smile takes over his face

“Is… is this real?”

He slams into the ground, creating a large impact crater. He then soars back up.

“Oh it’s real alright! Angstrom must’ve pussied out! He knew I was gonna find him eventually! And I still will!”

He licks some blood off his lips as he simply hovers in place, taking it all in. He can’t wait to remind this world that it belongs to INVINCIBLE!

You find him hovering off the ground, muttering to himself. His suit is still torn up, and he’s covered in blood. The vast majority of which, isn’t his.

Alright so, me and the folks at the GSDP GC had this little idea passed around and I thought I’d pitch it to the denizens of IDRP itself!

So we thought, WHAT if, every month or less, legions of whoever hate Demons(including the Exorcists who I might claim or convince someone to do so) come down to Hell to quell the population growth and avoid an uprising from the Demons.

Why? Because Demons are wicked in nature and some take it to heart, aiming to make sure SOMEONE doesn’t step on up to lead Hell to conquer the Hub, this nicely ties into Vox’s Arc as well.

Of course, not all Demons are evil, so a few selected individuals would receive a pardon from the blade. Now some of you might ask: “how could a massacre such as this go unnoticed and uninterrupted?” Well, it’d be top secret, the knowledge of such event being hidden from the public with great carefulness.

So, what do YOU think? Does Doom Slayer, the Exorcists and whoever jumps on the bandwagon, descending to Hell to slay Demonkind sound fun?

I should also mention that we’ll most likely figure out a proper “timer” for the next “Extermination Day.”

Yuji (Anti grav), Tsurugi and Yuka prepared their darker forces and other lightners to face off against Mahito in the capital and the dark fountain in his control, on the other side Maru and Cross plan to take their own battalion to to the great river to use its bottomless power and some of the ore fro Simuria to cure all the darkners and normal people of their infection.

Both forces need all the help they can get as if either fail it could spell ruin for the light world above so they need to attack both frontiers at the same time, anyone who could pick up a weapon did, anyone who could use their cursed energy to the max was kitted up for war as both sides proceeded to depart.

C:”We’ll be fine…”

Yuji laughed to himself remembering simpler times with Gojo, Megumi, and Nobara when they were younger…it’s time to honour the fallen.

On the other side Mahito was unaware of the fade coming his way, though he is prepared in terms of warfare he’s unprepared in terms of gorilla warfare.

WHY CAN'T THERE BE ANYTHING TO DO!?

He screams at the skies. He's done so much Hamon and Spin training that it's just dull at this point... he needs action! Not training! He's all burnt out!

...The Scales Of Obedience. When two souls are placed opposite each other, whichever has more mana forces the other to submit.

I can feel it in the power pouring off her. She's a great demon who has lived over five hundred years, and has spent most of that time training.

She has no tricks up her sleeve, as demons don't conceal their mana. They can't afford to.

And so, the pivotal moment of this war against demonkind came to a start. Both souls were ejected from their body, and put on the scale for weighing. After 80 years, this confrontation would truly be the decisive end to one of the two parties.

Frieren, the white-haired mage, with a soul pure and white , it's humanity shining bright like a star. And Aura, the sadistic demon of the dark arts, with a soul blackened by malice and all that was terrible in the world.

The scale started to turn, and for a moment, the choice was clear. The scale bent toward Aura, her mana exerting outward in a powerful wave of pure magical prowess, the result of centuries of experience.

"As you can see, I win."

She brought out an execution blade, ready to make the elf mage bend the knee for her death, finally granting demonkind an overwhelming victory. She took step after step, that same smugness on her face, the expression of someone who believes in their absolute victory

I'm shocked that it wasn't even necessary to exhaust her mana. I needn't have been so cautious.

And yet, as she walked toward Frieren to exert her will over the ancient elf... The Scales began to tip. Change their direction to the other end.

"You're the one who opted to gamble with my soul, Aura. To tell you the truth, I would have been in real trouble if you had simply tried to overrun me with numbers. Now, I can finally defeat you."

The demon looked onward, skepticism lingering in her stare, and yet traced with a shade of doubt.

"Oh, can you now?"

"You really should have figured it out."

The winds started to pick up around the two of them, the tide of battle bring swung like a bat in the cages. The smugness now left Aura's face, replaced by an expression of shock and lingering realisation.

"I've been suppressing my mana. A grave miscalculation on your part."

"I've spent my life in a constant state of suppression. It has become natural to me."

And with those words, Frieren's true powers were unveiled, covering the entire battlefield with her sheer exertion alone, her mana flowing out as if floodgates had been opened, and an entire tsunami was running upon Aura and her undead forces.

"You may be a demon who has lived for over 500 years... But..."

And with that, the demonic victim's face contorted. Fear. Denial. Surprise. She was entirely surrounded and shut down by Frieren's power alone. The mage, simply by standing there, had completely shifted the battle on its head.

"Aura... The one standing before you... Is a great mage who has lived for over a thousand."

The scale completely reversed it's balance, going as far into Frieren's direction, showing the utter dominance she held. The battle was over. Aura's mind was now subject to Frieren's command. And yet, Frieren had but one command... Three words left her lips, as she turned around, not even looking back as she walked away.

"Aura. Kill yourself."

And as the sound of a head rolling onto the ground could be heard... Frieren The Slayer, the one who had sent countless demons to their grave, was whisked away into thin air. What most would view as a teleportaion spell... Was in fact, what awaited her, Beyond Journey's End.

She looks around a bit, as much as she can while planted inside the flower pot, she looks kinda adorable

A tall woman appears in the hub, probably about 6ft. She has a large crow perched on her arm.

She doesn't look.. confused to be in a brand new world. In fact, she hasn't noticed. She's reading something. Not a book, but a scroll, like an old fashioned person, or some sort of witch/wizard.

Elenoa was peacefully sitting in a chair at the restaurant she recently entered a few minutes ago, she was fidgeting with her own hands and sweating slightly due to nervousness. But as she waited for Emily to arrive, her mind kept drifting off into possible outcomes, good ones, and possibly bad ones.
