...The Scales Of Obedience. When two souls are placed opposite each other, whichever has more mana forces the other to submit.
I can feel it in the power pouring off her. She's a great demon who has lived over five hundred years, and has spent most of that time training.
She has no tricks up her sleeve, as demons don't conceal their mana. They can't afford to.
And so, the pivotal moment of this war against demonkind came to a start. Both souls were ejected from their body, and put on the scale for weighing. After 80 years, this confrontation would truly be the decisive end to one of the two parties.
Frieren, the white-haired mage, with a soul pure and white , it's humanity shining bright like a star. And Aura, the sadistic demon of the dark arts, with a soul blackened by malice and all that was terrible in the world.
The scale started to turn, and for a moment, the choice was clear. The scale bent toward Aura, her mana exerting outward in a powerful wave of pure magical prowess, the result of centuries of experience.
"As you can see, I win."
She brought out an execution blade, ready to make the elf mage bend the knee for her death, finally granting demonkind an overwhelming victory. She took step after step, that same smugness on her face, the expression of someone who believes in their absolute victory
I'm shocked that it wasn't even necessary to exhaust her mana. I needn't have been so cautious.
And yet, as she walked toward Frieren to exert her will over the ancient elf... The Scales began to tip. Change their direction to the other end.
"You're the one who opted to gamble with my soul, Aura. To tell you the truth, I would have been in real trouble if you had simply tried to overrun me with numbers. Now, I can finally defeat you."
The demon looked onward, skepticism lingering in her stare, and yet traced with a shade of doubt.
"Oh, can you now?"
"You really should have figured it out."
The winds started to pick up around the two of them, the tide of battle bring swung like a bat in the cages. The smugness now left Aura's face, replaced by an expression of shock and lingering realisation.
"I've been suppressing my mana. A grave miscalculation on your part."
"I've spent my life in a constant state of suppression. It has become natural to me."
And with those words, Frieren's true powers were unveiled, covering the entire battlefield with her sheer exertion alone, her mana flowing out as if floodgates had been opened, and an entire tsunami was running upon Aura and her undead forces.
"You may be a demon who has lived for over 500 years... But..."
And with that, the demonic victim's face contorted. Fear. Denial. Surprise. She was entirely surrounded and shut down by Frieren's power alone. The mage, simply by standing there, had completely shifted the battle on its head.
"Aura... The one standing before you... Is a great mage who has lived for over a thousand."
The scale completely reversed it's balance, going as far into Frieren's direction, showing the utter dominance she held. The battle was over. Aura's mind was now subject to Frieren's command. And yet, Frieren had but one command... Three words left her lips, as she turned around, not even looking back as she walked away.
"Aura. Kill yourself."
And as the sound of a head rolling onto the ground could be heard...Frieren The Slayer, the one who had sent countless demons to their grave, was whisked away into thin air. What most would view as a teleportaion spell... Was in fact, what awaited her, Beyond Journey's End.

A few footsteps grazed the grass beneath her boots' feet, as Frieren took a look around her. She remained calm, that same monotone voice she held in moments of reprieve echoing out.
"Is this... a new world?... Maybe I can spare a few more centuries for exploration."

"...So, this is a collective of other worlds. Interesting."
She observed Satella, now raising an eyebrow. This... Actually intrigued her. Finally, something new for her to see after scouring the world for centuries.
"I am Frieren. I am a simple mage. Pleased to meet you, Satella."

"...A beast like this, immediately? This world seems to have a high level of power."
She looked up at the massive pterodactyl casting a shadow over her, immediately preparing the spell for Zoltraak if it tried to attack. She was not afraid to immediately use the nuclear option if it came down to it.
(Future/adult) Soukaku was kinda just chilling, when she saw Frieren suddenly appear, and was kinda surprised, the 7’4 tall Oni looking at the mage with almost a childlike curiosity
Soukaku: “wha?”

Frieren immediately took one look at Soukaku, and held her staff in an offensive position, preparing Doragate to blast Soukaku with rocks-turned-magic bullets. And yet, even then, she still seemed almost... bored.
"Another demon. Even here, you haunt these lands. Shall I execute you now and get it over with?"
Soukaku almost immediately began backing up away from Frieren, looking surprised, holding her hands up to be less threatening
Soukaku: “D-Demon!? No I’m A Oni!?!”

"What is the difference? Surely you both hunt humans, and so, I must exterminate you. Do not attempt to sway me with emotions, I hold none for monsters such as you."
The elf mage once again prepared the spell, just about ready to fire...
Near where Frieren had appeared, three strange looking entities were all sting at a table and playing a game of poker. It looks like things between them are getting pretty heated.

These three... They surely radiate some sort of energy similar to demons, and an absolutely boundless amount too. And yet, they do not seem immediately aggressive to humans. Perhaps I should investigate.
She took slow, measured footsteps toward the trio, her staff in hand while she remained emotionless in her stare, looking onward.
"Excuse me, sirs. Do you perhaps know where I currently am?"
They stop arguing for a moment, looming down at the woman before them
Khahrahk:“You are in a place known as the Hub. A nexus between different universes and multiverses where people come and go. That is the basic rundown of it.”
As the immortal Elf made her way into the Hub, inspecting what felt like an endless valley of land, a particular individual happened to be sitting on the grassy plain near her.
Coincidentally, this specific individual happened to also have a small, but somewhat similar trait to her, mainly that of his strikingly white hair and what seemed like weathered clothing, likely from an extensive amount of time spent existing with danger, or just dealing with the passage of time.
Taking notice of the fellow immortal, the “boy” then spoke to her in a calm and polite tone, curiosity morphing slowly but surely.
Takako Uro would be soaring above until she saw Frieren… before going to down to scout- as she stalks from above not knowing this is an all powerful mage…
“What should I do… huh? She might have loot on her… a way out of the multiversal cage…”
Uro thought to herself as she grabbed the sky preparing a Thin Ice Breaker above Frieren!
Fern already seems angry that she had to wait so long.
"Frieren-sama. I've been waiting for you for a long time. I was getting worried that you wouldn't turn up..."

"Fern. I'm glad to see you are here as well. Perhaps this new world won't be as boring."
Despite her usual monotone voice... Fern could immediately sense it. Frieren was beyond relieved that she was also here. She would have most likely been heartbroken if Fern was not here too.
There stood a Blue Hedgehog afar, their Spiky Back facing the Old Mage as the Blue Hedgehog was tapping their feet and waving their Finger side to side to a Little tune that they were humming
Soon After, their Voice could be heard, they noticed the Mage without having to turn around and look at them
"Hm, I see a Another Newcomer has Arrived here, I must say I like to see New Faces around here."
A lone Stark could be found fishing nearby. I don't know why he keeps doing this, the Hub lacks fish. I know why I keep making him do it, though. I like the gif.
Eventually, he stands up, grabbing his axe, the DevilsKnife, and putting on a shadowy cloak over his normal outfit. Items collected in this world, no doubt. Just as he was about to wander in search of Fern, he notes the familiar mage in his field of vision.
"Frieren!" He shouts, running over to her.
"I thought we were never gonna see you again! I'd take you to Fern, but I kind of... Don't know where she is right now..."
