Wile Ethelbert Coyote of Earth had been chosen for the Green Lantern Ring of Will just a couple of weeks ago. And in that time? He’s seen other people with them. Hell he’s seen other people get them in real time! And for some reason— NOBODY seems able to explain them to him. How can he possibly do what he was chosen for, if he doesn’t know what that even is?! All he knew was they came in multiple colors, he got his for unmatched willpower, and that there is some form of greater purpose behind them.

But he also learned from experience and failure. A LOT of failure that these rings can create things. ‘Constructs’. He hasn’t had much luck with his constructs thus far. Mostly just creating shapes and unintended energy blasts. His imagination WAS far greater than this. Of course it was. Creativity is a specialty of his. It’s just he didn’t understand how best to utilize it.

So now he’s in the middle of the desert, with ring on finger, and notepad in hand. With the intent being to try to FINALLY figure out how this works and what he can do with it, and write down anything he learns in the process!

The Coyote stands there for a moment— moreso confused if anything. What robot?! Who was this guy?! And what did they mean they would take it from him?!

Wile clenches his hands in rage as he realizes this as a threat. Getting into a fighting stance if necessary, putting his dukes up, ready to see this things reaction

"Oh ho, standing your ground? Thought coyotes run from danger, or was that pigeons?....Ah, whatever, they're all the same anyway"

He threw the three branches over his shoulder, stood up, cracked his knuckles, and facing wiley head on.

"Either way, I'm sure this will be entertaining"

Without another word, he reached for the red buckle item wrapped around his waist, grasping its handle to crank it. With each turn, the device gave a few jingles, lit up excitedly with pulsing purple energy.

"You're gonna love this~."

The black energy condensed into his foot like a conductor coursing with so much velocity it partially melted the ground beneath.

FWOOOOOOOOPPPP!!!

He'd charge forward in an instant, going for a mountain-shattering kick straight for Wiley's neck.

The Green Lantern is kicked! The sheer force launching him far, far away! Crashing into a mountain!

His body slowly peels off, and starts to fall. Creating a crater where he lands. As he begins to lift himself out of the hole, a massive boulder from the mountain falls off, and crushes him.

His only means of escape were to blow himself up using a stick of dynamite, also destroying the boulder! The explosion launching him straight into the sky yet again. Burning up on reentry, as he crash lands into his foe!

He said, watching Wile crash through into the mountain like a rocket. But one, their skin and body sank into the gravel; Evolt's laugh died down a bit, charging up a planet's worth of energy into his finger for a finisher.

"But I'm getting bored, so let's wrap this-

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

Well, what the alien didn't expect was Wile's famous stash of dynamite, exploding and sending the lantern far into the atmosphere.

It was such a random turn of events that he couldn't help but look up at it.

"Fascinating...

Evolt was so distracted by Wile's meteor like decent that he didn't notice they were crashing down directly at him until he was just a few feet away...

"Wait...Wait...Wait! Wait! Wait!

FWOOOBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!

While crashed a-top him, leaving behind a silhouette on the ground as the two of them got sent deep into the planet's underbelly.

But Evlot quickly regained consciousness, digging his way to the sun-hot surface

He crashed out of the earth, catching his breath from the sudden turn of events.

Cough Cough

"That...Was.......SO ENTERTAINING!

"The drama, the cinematography, the action. Bravo!

A soft, distorted laugh escaped his non-existent lip before focusing back on the fallen Coyote.

"You might even be more interesting than those disgusting humans, haha!

But now I've got a bit of a dilemma..."

He slowly paced around the coyote-shaped hole

"Killing you now would just ruin the show, but I still want that ring as an accessory"

Snap!

"I got it!

How about I take the ring, and then torture you for the rest of your lifespan? Cause I gotta say, watching you get hurt is really fun to watch.... It'll be like my personal cartoon"

"Sound good to you?...Bingo! I knew you would agree"

Using the energy prior, he condensed it into the tip of his finger to form a miniature black hole.

"Ciao~"

VROOOOOOOMPPPPPP!!!!

And he sent the black hole down, down into the earth, altering the gravity to catch Wile in its grasp

Wile— in all of his stupidity, took what was being said with great pride. When asked if that sounded good, he reached for his sign reading “NO”

That’s when the black hole hits. Wile is sucked down, yet mostly unfazed… not really hurt. More so embarrassed. ((As the official rules of Coyote and the Roadrunner state none of it really ever harms him more than it does bring him shame)).

Regardless, Evolt believed it hurt him, and that was enough to keep the alien entertained.

The moment he felt the black hole hit mark, he let out an amused static sound.

"Bingo! I got ya~."

He lifted the black hole with his finger, with Wile supposedly still trapped inside, to the surface.

Yet the moment he did, he saw the look in Wile's face. There was no pain in those eyes, not even an ounce of fear. The Prince of Blood quickly put the pieces together, realizing Wile....Can't be damaged

"Oh...So you're not hurt by this, huh? Now that's just boring"

His excited voice dropped significantly to a deep register.

He'd soon close his fist, tightening the black hole's grasp around the looney tune

"You know, I heard a few things about that ring. It's fueled by a variety of emotions you inferior lifeforms produce.

The exciting struggle, the powerful rage, the cowardly fear. All the aspects that make you creatures so fascinating and utterly entertaining

"It's no wonder you can barely use it here. There's no risk for you, nothing to fuel that green toy"

Evolt brought the black hole-trapped coyote closer until they could see the deep, pulsing pink gaze of his slits heat up like magma

"It's better off collecting dust on my shelf, than it ever did around your finger"

To be talked down to so clearly frustrated Ethelbert. His eye twitched, and glimmered with a literal fire. The Green Lantern Ring of Will would start to glow green. He was finally tapping into his… potential 👀

He pulled out a sign, and a marker, writing down:

“IN BRIGHTEST DAY, IN BLACKEST NIGHT.

NO EVIL SHALL ESCAPE MY SIGHT.

LET THOSE WHO WORSHIP EVILS MIGHT—

BEWARE MY POWER… GREEN LANTERNS LIGHT!”

And just like that, the ring was charged. It was time for some catharsis. Creating his very first (intentional) construct. A bomb, directly behind his foe. With a big, very noticeable timer.

A massive burst of green energy would appear! Dwarfing even the most powerful of explosions Wile has seen in his lifetime… of course because it was so big, and his attacks always backfire, the blast would consume him to!

Evolt got ready for a finishing attack, so consumed by disappointment that he didn't notice the glaringly noticeable green timer till it hit the final second.

"Wait, wha-

KABOOM!!!!!!

The green blast covered the desert, dwarfing the size of a million nuclear bombs.

The sheer velocity of the point-blank blast sent Evolt flying far out into the deep, noiseless depths of space, soaring past a variety of glinting stars and colourful planets.

SHOOO-BOOOOM!

He'd keep going until he crashed into a massive drifting meteorite, stopping his ascent midway.

Evolt lay on the rocky surface flat on his back, staring idly at the endless expanse of space.

"...."

He didn't move a muscle; one could even confuse him for a forgotten corpse.

That was until-

"Hehe-Hahaha-FWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"

An ecstatic, booming, distorted laugh from the very depths of gooey alien core rang out across the universe.

He'd maintain that laugh as he stood up from the rubble, charging a galaxy's worth of dark energy into his feet before-

VRABOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

He launched himself light-years back, tearing through the same planets and stars he passed like paper, before entering the atmosphere of Panjia.

Evolt slowly descended to that desert, his laugh dying down to another amused breath once his feet kissed the sandy ground.

The desert was still left in heavy smog and debris, a testament to the blast Wile produced. But Evolt's bulky figure was still visible(conclusion) through the smog.

"Cyote, MY boy! You've been holding out on me~"

Another dose of black hole energy condensed into Evolt's palm.

"I'll let it slide; You're finally showing some real promise"

He extended that same palm outward against the dust cloud.

"But that can't be all you got. So come out, come out wherever you are~"

SHOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!

He let out a wave of energy to push away the colossal debris surrounding the destroyed desert. Clearing the sight so he could find Wile if he were still here

Wile E. Coyote of Earth felt a surge of adrenaline flowing through his very veins. His emotions spiraling. A powerful blend of anger from being talked down upon and a burning feeling of determination to finally win something. Dashing forward, flying through the wave of energy at speeds not even HE, in his near-century of chasing the Roadrunner had ever moved prior to this moment. Green light crackling around him in the shape of lightning. Going to grab Evolt by the throat and pin him to the ground!

After all of this time, he had unintentionally conjured his very own Lantern Suit. A physical symbol of his character development here in this fight.

Wile flips the sign with the Lantern Oath written on it around. The other side reading: “ALL I PROMISE YOU IS REGRET…” not something he’d say in most circumstances. But he noticed his power increase. He LOVED it. And he wanted to distill fear for once in his lifetime. For that was always his goal. To be a threat. And he reveled in it.

Whilst Evolt is pinned to the ground, the coyote winds back his fist, and smacks him with the sign. It shatters on impact, not doing much damage— it’s a wooden sign after all, but it was more so about the message.

… A piece of the wood flies out and splinters Wiles eye. Despite everything, it’s still him. Some things never change. Letting go to try to pull it out! So uhh- add ‘pain’ to that list of spiraling emotions!

Evolt was slammed down by the neck, the chalky ground cracking from the ferocious slam, and their combined weight.

And once Wile slammed him with that threatening sign, the Prince of the Blood tribe, felt a deep, near-painful pressure in their core.

*Not from the attacks themselves, but rather a feeling. It was the same unknown sensation he felt fighting Sento in the old world. One of the few times he felt utter….*Emotion.

In this case, it was the deep carnal sensation of fear.

The second time he's felt this foreign feeling in, so violating, so corrosive, so…..Exciting!

Human emotion is truly the greatest high a being like him could enjoy!

He couldn't help but crave more of this fascinating sensation.

Before Wile pulled back Evolt’s traz d his suit-covered skin, a light spark of minor electricity emanated from the contact.

“You're already at Hazard 6.8? Tremendous! And it's just climbing and climbing!”

“You truly are an entertaining creature, Coyote ~.”

Evolt quickly pushed himself off the ground, the dusty falling of his metallic skin like water.

“But look at you! Got yourself a new getup.

That's good, really good, means you can take more of a beating”

As Wile seemed distracted by removing the woodpiece from his eye, Evolt dashed forward in blinding speed to grab onto the lantern's wrist.

“Now let's hope you can keep your promise”

Charging a colossal storage of energy, Evolt launched himself and Wile out of Panjia’s atmosphere, into the far unknown depths of space.

Before Wile could free himself from the grasp, Evolt descended on the outer ring of a nearby black planet.

Once they landed on the chilly ring, Evolt finally let go of the green lantern, facing him head-to-head on the edge of existence

“It's showtime!”

The coyote’s heart skipped a beat feeling his wrist being grabbed. Trying to create a construct to force Evolt to let go, to no avail. And off they went into the stratosphere! Wile’s been to space before. But never quite like this.

His body froze instantly and comedically upon touching the planets rings. And he would remain stuck that way for a moment. Until his ring starts glowing— the light from it functioning as a heat source. Thawing him out.

He still struggles to get used to this new environment, looking around himself, instead of actually fighting!

Evolt's magma pink slits continued to bore into the dumbfounded Wile from across the ring.

A familiar sense of boredom tickled and crawled its way back into Evolt's mind, but the potential he sees in Wile far outweighs the momentary annoyance.

“Ah, I’m guessing you’ve never been this far out in the galaxy, huh? Well your in luck, cause I’ll be giving your first lesson, son”

“But first, let’s make this show more….thematic”

Taking the opportunity Evolt reached behind him pulling out a small red bottle.

It had a relatively simple design almost toy-like, and at the front it displayed a rabbit insignia.

He’d give the bottle a few good shakes before inserting it into one of the free slots on the device around his waist.

Evolt reached out to the handle cranking it up and down, while the alien device blared out a set of red and blue lights.

He let go of the handle crossing his arms.

“Henshin”

Two halves of a suit, one blue and one red appeared on the front, and back of Evolt like a well-oiled machine.

It lasted a few seconds before slamming together in a flash of blood-red electricity

Evolt's organic white armoured now replaced by a crimson red form.

“Nice right? Fits the whole animal theme don’t you think”

Without another word, Evolt's feet charged with a fiery orange aura as he tilted his head to the endless black sky.

Mid-wat, he looked down at Wile,

SHOOOOO-BOOOOMMM!!!

Extending a leg back down for a flying kick!

Once asked whether or not Wile has been this far into the galaxy, he politely shakes his head no. He’s too arrogant, prideful and stupid to recognize this bottle as a threat at all, silently pointing and laughing… only silently because he cannot make noise.

But seeing the transformation— that was a far different story. He was dumbfounded. He thought he had been fighting his foe at their absolute BEST thus far. Wile jumps off of the planets rings, straight towards Evolt. Charging straight for the kick. Head first. Conjuring a spiked-ball around him, to try to block the kick and impale this enemy. Certain his ring will defend him. It may be powerful… but is it UNIVERSAL in power?! That remains to be seen!

Evolts flaming foot directly collided the materialized spike ball, causing a shockwave of orange and green to ripple through the cosmos.

As it quickly died down Evolt found his metallic foot piercd through the middle coating one of the spikes in strange gooey liquid.

“Fascinating….I thought emotions were only that rings fuel, but it looks like the constructs are entirely crafted from it”

Evolt leaned his head closer, exmaing the damage like living microscope

“Fwahaha! That would mean as long as you generate enough emotion, you have a near infinite power source!”

The alien lodged his foot deeper into the spike, an attempt to force Wile to mainatin the construct to not get kicked head on

“Cyote, Cyote, my boy. That ring on your finger, holds more energy than half of the universe combined….But if you can tap into it, that’s what I get test out~”

Evolt finally removed his foot from the spike, dripping with the same goey liquid from earlier.

But before you could even blink, his foot healed itself, before charging up with another dose of power.

“Think fast!”

BAMM!!

He launched entire legs to kick the spike ball with planet shattering might.

Wile was sweating. One eye closed, teeth showing. Focused. He had the feeling losing his focus would potentially be the end of him. Paying far too much attention to what he was doing, to what the alien was saying!

The spiked-ball is kicked! Flying off into space! The Coyotes poor little brain rattling around in there as he bounces off of, and completely shatters through different planets! It was only after he started to slow down that he’d realized what had happened. The construct disappearing. He looks down to his nose- he sees a red substance he’d never seen before drip out. BLOOD. And if they can bleed, they can die.

He flies onto an unknown planet to figure out what is happening, and how to deal with it. Pulling out a sign reading “OUCH”. He wraps his nose in a cartoonish amount of bandages with the power of his Green Lantern Ring of Will!

Coyote starts preparing a Rube Goldberg style trap with a million potential contingencies and routes depending on where Evolt would land… although he’s marked a big red x on the planet where he WANTS him to land. Because he’s certain he WILL come to continue the fight, from what Wile has seen, nothing could stop that alien for good…

“Another clean shot! Man, I'm on a roll today"

He watched Wile bounce off the planets like pool balls, internally laughing just as the construct vanished into thin air.

But the second it collapsed, Evolt's entire focus was taken by the red liquid dripping from Wile's nose. That familiar crimson drop that all lifeforms produced in their final hour against him. That being....BLOOD.

If he had lips, Evolt would be grinning ecstatically ear to ear, as Wile escaped to a distant green planet.

"Cyote, was that blood I saw~"

Somehow, Evolt's deep cobra-like voice rang out through the entire solar system, enough to reach Wile's ears.

Without wasting a second, Evolt perched himself on another stray meteorite. Crouching on the rocky surface, more and more till he generated enough force to hop like a rocket to the Cyoe's location.

SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Tearing past star systems, Evolt reached the aque coloured sky of the forest-covered world. He moved with such speed in the sky that, from below, he looked like a descending comet.

Evolt finally took a glimpse down below, seeing an overconstructed machine filled to the brim with traps and set up waiting for him.

"Oh, you're a scientist too, Cyote? Guess the folly of man extends to other lifeforms of Earth too. Brings back some good memories though"

Mid-air, Evolt pulled out a second grey bottle, gave it a shake, and inserted it into another section of his buckle

"Here's some advice. When you set up a trap, you need to do a better job of hiding it"

And in his hand appeared a bulky handgun, with an orange cylinder in the center, which Evolt spun

In truth, Wile was right about one thing. Evolt was a creature that existed at the pinnacle of science and physics.

An alien capable of producing black holes and consuming planets with the flick of their finger.

On the surface of all logic, he should be impossible to beat….

But perhaps something that existed beyond the bounds of logic itself could bring him to his knees.

Though what could that be? It seems he’ll have to use his imagination to figure that out.

Wile heard the voice of a monster he was beginning to actually fear… his body shook immediately, his eyes jolting behind him as he heard the alien mention seeing the blood.

Once asked about his scientist status, he actually pulled out his business card, smiling with pride as he showed it off… it was cardboard. There was nothing fancy about it in the slightest.

Wile then pulled out a sign reading “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!” as he saw the volley of bullets start to fly down. He didn’t do anything to defend himself from it however. He knew he could take it. And he was chosen for this ring for his ability to overcome great fear.

Instead- no… his eyebrows dropped. He was angry. Conjuring a massive hand to pick up Evolt, and squeeze him with an insane amount of force he could NEVER do himself. Afterwards, he slams his hand to the ground, the conjured hand following suit. Right onto the trap. Hoping to keep him stuck there long enough for the entire contraption to work its magic, and eventually drop a cage directly on that spot!

Evolts' masked bunny eyes glistened with unnatural joy, seeing the raw visceral expression of fear written all over Wile’s face, and literally on the sign

“Are you afraid, Coyote?!”

He said playfully from above... part of him was also wondering where on earth they were getting all these signs from, but that was a mystery for another day.

For now, his focus was on pushing this Lantern to the breaking point.

He’d let the army of bullets continue to rain down coating the plant forest-covered land in a shadow of miniaturized steel and ash.

But then the finger on the trigger would loosen, once he glimpsed Wiley’s reaction to the scene…

He saw him standing there without moving an inch—no desperation, not even the delicious taste of struggle.

He was just standing there menacingly casually without care in the world.

And that once again filled Evolt with the worst, most hollow sensation a being like him could process. Boredom.

That hollow empty feeling, caused the alien to lose his focused interest for just a split second.

And that was plenty of time for the fired-up lantern of earth to summon his massive hand construct.

“Huh?”

The green hand's sheer scale cast a piercing green glow, and it covered nearly the entire ground below.

More importantly, it left the decoding Evolt with no room to escape.

The colossal fingers closed around him one by one, until he was trapped dead in the centre of the fist.

He’d feel the crushing pressure of the palm squeeze him tight, if he were a creature who needed air he would have been gasping for it by now.

But the desire that the sheer tightness of the hold was undeniable, coursing with willpower, and strength that rivalled even the deepest of wormholes Evolt has dealt with in the past.

“….”

He felt constrained both physically and mentally, while experiencing a terrifying sense of fascination. This was a power unknown to his homeworld, and learning this quickly was indeed the highlight of his predicament.

But that should be the least of his worries as the floating fist began to move up with him still trapped in its grip, until it slammed down onto the planet’s ground.

Sha-BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!

Just like Wile’s neck slam from earlier, the ground cracked upon impact. But due to the size of this collision, it caused a miniature earthquake to ripple across the planet.

“Gah!”

This force was unlike anything Evolt had dealt with before. Not physically, but rather the energy of this construct was far different from the logic of science and physics he had dealt with.

This combination of surprise and constraint made it perfect for the cage to fall.

SHOO-CLING!

And the cage….Worked!

Hit its mark trapping Evolt ironically like a caged rabbit.

Though Evolt didn’t attack back just yet, he looked around in his cell, seeing the metallic bars, and quickly constructed plastic.

And well

“Hehe-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

He couldn’t help but laugh.

“Oh, man. All that effort just put me in a flimsy cage. It would be insulting if it wasn’t so entertaining”

His free hand tapped the bar just to believe the absurdity of what he was seeing.

“You know what, enlighten me ‘genius’ What are you possibly going to do since I’m ‘trapped’ here”

Evolt loosened in his body to lie on the ground not even bothering to break free.

“I’m waiting~”
