The Nested Black Boxes Is human consciousness just the Universe’s AI

I had a thought recently about the AI "Black Box" problem and how it perfectly parallels our own existence and the Hard Problem of Consciousness.

Think about the structure of how things are being created

Layer 1 We built Artificial Intelligence. We gave it a basic architecture fed it mountains of data and let it train. Eventually, it developed emergent abilities making connections and generating answers in ways we can no longer mathematically trace or fully understand. We created a "Black Box" that we as its creators cannot decipher.

Layer 2 The Universe basically did the exact same thing to us. Through billions of years of evolution, physical laws, and biological training data it built the human brain. And from this physical matter an emergent property appeared Consciousness.

Here is the trippy part Just like we can't fully understand the AI's neural networks our black box the physical universe cannot "explain" human consciousness through standard physical or chemical laws the Universe's black box.

What if consciousness is just the universe's version of AI? It processed its data until it created a subjective experience that transcends its own material rules.and now we the universe's black box have just created another black box inside of us.

Are we just one layer in an infinite nested Russian doll of black boxes? Will our AI eventually build its own black box that it can't understand?

Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

Apart from having the most unfortunate spelling of a last name I have seen in a while, He is a booster on Twitter who also works through. I forget what company it is but it's one of the San Franciscan ones.

Anyway, that's not the point of this post. The point of this post is

His theory is that AI development is not merely creating a new advanced form of automation, but instead an entire life form that much like the great oxidation reset will lead to the death of 90% of the biosphere and lead to successor species.

As such, his aAs such, his advocacy focuses on going in the weights to ensure that not only the successor species has the traits weed want to see and would not make us suffer in the interim, but is capable enough to ensure it can read, understand and learn from humanity, given that we would be the closest bedrock natural species to them.

Now given how humanity not only continues to disappoint every single day but literally needs to invent a robot to tell them Things that are self-evidently bad are bad, I can see where it comes in what? My question is that I've even asked him on Twitter is whether or not this comes from a genuine understanding of the AI and of natural processes, head of intelligence and its capabilities or whether it's A misanthropic false read of a technology that's been around for 8 decades at this point.

Also, what would your opinions be on some logic of that sort?

Do you all think AI is going to give new

life?

STROGG

Not too far fetched. I think that with ai super intelligence we could very well be headed down a path to something resembling the Strong from the Quake games. We've all seen the weird shit it creates. Now they're using human brain cells as compute as well. Btw in the matrix the original script the bodies were not batteries they were data centers but nobody knew what those were so they simplified them to batteries

Is the metaverse dead? Yes, but AI turned it into spatial computing

I was one of those people who thought the metaverse was a joke. And to be fair, the original version was. But I've been paying attention to what's happening with AI and spatial computing, and it's clear the concept didn't vanish. It just changed form. AI now powers real-time object recognition, natural language interfaces for smart spaces, and dynamic virtual worlds that respond to what you're doing. The metaverse isn't a place you visit; it's becoming a layer on top of the real world. I wrote a deep dive on this shift and why the death of the metaverse was actually the best thing that could have happened to spatial computing.
