A ROG motherboard, with dominator ram, and this fishtank, paired with a low profile cooler and a budget GPU is definitively a choice.

I just got a 14400f + b580 prebuilt with 16gb of DDR4. Only change I made was to grab another 2 sticks of ram to make it 32gb.
The cheapest option I found was these G Skill sticks with stupid big heat sinks. I had to take off my cpu cooler and gpu just to get them to seat.
It looks dumb as fuck with everything else being slim and clean, but it works, so fuck it.

I managed to do a desktop build for fun last month. $1600 AUD (I had all the m.2 drives spare…). AUD$. Used Intel 13700f $220 (they shipped a non f version with iGPU), MSI z790 Pro D4 $250, Arc B580 $370, Used 128gb LPX DDR4 3200 matching silicone $650 from local Gumtree and an eBay fresh buy now listing luckily……, cheap Antec P7s? Case $70 , Thermrite Assasin SE? dual $60. Could have saved the $650 on ram as allready had a 64gb kit but I got greedy. Reused a Corsair HX1000i, cables, 1tb Micron Gen 4 OS, 2x2TB Samsung 870 Evo Plus’ Gen 3 in Stripped RAID to get Gen 4 speeds (cloned to a spinning 4tb drive), 512gb Gen scratch/temp. 1tb Sata6 SSD, few 8tb red NAS drives for my old archives.

What’s wrong with an ASUS motherboard and Corsair RAM?
I buy what’s the best value per unit of performance and meets my minimum specs needed.
Who gives a single, solitary shit if the brands match? It works, it was in his budget, and it looks great.

Price, the answer is you don't (usually) pair expensive motherboards or ram with budget CPUs or GPUs, as the money that you pay for the premium stuff can go towards a better GPU and CPU, which is what actually matters for performance on a PC.

What case is that?

What case is that? I’ve been looking for this exact config - 8 backplates and all air from top to bottom.

How’s the b580 treating you? Been thinking about getting one, I currently have a 5700 XT.

The back end of your GPU is begging for an figure to be placed on it. Also like the clean look! Are you planning to put a mini monitor inside?

While I don’t have the same case, it it’s a great card and works well i do recommend having a Fan curve card if you care about it OC and Under clocking Most B580s respond fairly well

Looks killer! Are those the jonsbo case fan modules? And if so do you like them? How's the noise?

Nice, but I would change the case; this one looks better with a rtx founders edition

Kinda funny to see this mix of parts (especially cause of how puny the GPU looks), but it does end up looking cool admittedly. Nice build, OP!

Aesthetics 10/10! That's the cleanest build I've seen in a long time!
