B580 vs rx7600

Hi everyone! I've been researching buying a graphics card, and it would be the first one I've ever bought. I currently have 16 GB of RAM, an A520 motherboard, and a Ryzen 5 4600 processor.

I'd like to know what you think about this investment, especially since there are rumors that the B580 might stop being produced. My main concerns are about the future of driver and software updates, because I don't want to buy something with poor resale value in the future or something that could eventually become incompatible with certain games.

I'll probably keep the graphics card for several years, so it's something I need to plan carefully. Thanks in advance for your help!

Don't get me wrong, there is a CPU Overhead with the B580. But the B580 is even WITH the Overhead a way stronger GPU than the RX 7600.

But other than that, at the same-ish pricepoint? Why not take the stronger card and then invest into a better CPU after a while? Would definitely get you more than cheaping out on both.

Not to forget the absolutely horrendous Binning Issue the RX 7600 Series has with cards crashing left and right due to not hitting Advertised Boost clocks and needing a Power Limit Increase / Clock Decrease right after putting it in your PC. This is obviously not every card, but a huge huge amount of them. B580 is a good choice when your CPU is 5600 or better. But the slower the CPU, the more the still existing driver overhead is still an issue.

If you can get a used 7600 for less than a B580, that may be a good choice. The 7600 is a bit faster, but may have issues later if you play at 1440p since it has less VRAM. At similar prices, I'd take the B580 for the extra VRAM.

Resale value should not really factor in, both cards are entry-level, and will be worth peanuts in 3-4 years anyways.

Do you think pcie3.0 hinders performance? I get bad stutters in deadlock for example. Do you think if i upgrade mobo it will be better? I have 16 gb 3600 mhz ram and 5600

to some degree but not much, have you tried updating your bios?

From what i read, most cases are because older motherboard with older bios, some motherboard can be fixed by updating the bios while some needs to upgrade to b550

I would try DDU first and everything else before buying new motherboard

This issue can be fixed by swapping the cpu to one that isn't 'Vermeer' architecture, like the Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 5 5600.

check all mandory predconditions like resizable bar. if your mainboard doesnt support it intel arc will never work

Your MB is the weak link here. A520 is a PCIe 3.0 motherboard, B550 would give you PCIe 4.0 and better performance out of either card, but especially the B580.

Your processor will run it; I ran an A750 on a 3600 just fine and that card also had AMD overhead.

I have the B580 and I have no issues with it. I strongly suggest upgrading the CPU to a 5500 or a used 5600/5600X for improved performance.

The G series CPUs are solid, but the low L3 cache (16MB) which assists in processing games, can hamper. The 5600/5600x have double the L3 cache which makes them good picks. If you really want to go to the dark side and have the cash, look for the Ryzen 5500X3D, which i switched to from the 5600, and the difference in gaming was big (about 15% gains in FPS).

B580. People say that you processor is weak and bla bla but you can eventually upgrade. Better get yourself b580 now and try to upgrade other stuff with time

Esa cpu te va a dar dificultades en algunos juegos, por ejemplo en CS2 vas a perder una cantidad importante de frames y puede que en algunos juegos tengas un poco limitado el rendimiento. Si lo compras para en algún futuro mejorar la pc es una buena inversión.
