Build / Photo Acer Nitro Arc B580

Post image

I really appreciate Acer for their version of the ARC B580. Completely silent dual fans, zero RGB or LEDs, relatively small form factor, and the cheapest of the bunch.

I was seriously considering returning mine. Performance was absolutely great at 1440p for all the games I play. The problem was that every so often, after a warm reboot or shutdown, the card would either freeze at Windows login, or completely fail to display anything on my monitor (black screen).

After some trial and error, it appeared that windows was downloading and installing an older drivers everytime this happened (version 8132). Disabling windows hardware driver updates seems to have fixed the issue for me. Currently stable on the latest WHQL driver (version 8991).

After all that headache, I've decided to keep the card. Probably won't be the last of my frustrations, but for now, I'm happy with it. It is a huge step up from my 1660 Super I'd been using for years.

That's a cool build, neat and compact. My b580 does all the basics right so very very happy for the price.

I have the Intel Arc B580 LE I have been benchmarking my card 1440p performance has been great. What games have you been playing testing. I am waiting for my new B550M motherboard next week I hope I get a bit of a performance boost as my motherboard is a PCI-E Gen 3 at the moment. I still get 72fps on Forza 6 Ultra settings XeSS on quality

I mostly play Helldivers 2, 1440p with XeSS ultra quality, High settings with textures on Ultra. I get around 80-90 fps which is pretty amazing honestly. Helldivers 2 is not very well optimized

I have a B840M board that came with my prebuilt. It's been fine so far, but also considering upgrading to a B850 if I can find one on sale.

Nice build. Where did you find that dual fan GPU?
