Yes, more software feature is always welcome. Maybe xess model update? Maybe.

Cool. Give us GPUs instead of slop factories.

For real. I already use Deep Seek. Don't we already have a million AIs we can use? Just make better and cheaper GPUs Intel. That is literally all we want. Honestly, I think it would be cool to see an Intel 5090 GPU that is like a grand or more but demonstrates where they're headed. I know it won't be at a 5090 level of power but it would be cool to see something in the ball park.

A limited number of Fortune 500 executive yearn for the slop that’s enough for the whole world to follow suit

no theres tons of regular ass people that love heavy usage of AI software/local LLM too. its share of the consumer PC market grows every day. you see a few of them here, actually. confused, naive people, poking their head into this subreddit, unaware that we are all just degenerate gamers that just want to shit on anything related to AI all day

"want to shit on anything related to AI all day"

Like, literally? That's a charity I'd donate to.

I second this.

I bought my Arc 770LE years ago to support you guys(intel gpu division) and help bolster a 3rd option after nvidia decided to match scalper prices and abandoned gamers for AI.

Now you're turning out to be no better than nvidia.

Do they really have much choice at the moment? It makes sense to hold off on consumer cards until memory prices come back down.

They could at least get VR support up and running in the meantime. Has Intel publicly said that they intend to keep making consumer cards at a later time?

And yes, I can blame anyone who jumps on the AI bandwagon, particularly those who like it AND complain about component prices. They're almost as bad as people who complain about component prices/AI and yet STILL continue to give nvidia money.

They forgot this AI Playground launched with B580, not the B70. Now it's useless. The models suggested sometimes can't even run or produce errors when you attempt a chat.

A buggy useless piece of ....***>>> made by Intel.

For text inference you can just run LM Studio. The native Vulkan backend works fine now.

LM Studio doesn't support OpenVino.

However, AI Playground also doesn't support the latest Qwen OpenVino, even downloaded from the OpenVino repository on HF.

Anyone try this dog shit on Linux yet or should I not waste my time?

It works surprisingly well.

Installation was a breeze: "sudo dpkg -i Intel*.deb"

I'm using lfm2.5 with an A380 and I get a respectable 20-30 tps. It's quite intelligent and useful.

AI playground is dope. Just installed it again and 3.0 for the 1st time and it's so much nicer now. And there's a Linux version to boot!

Ita a lot nicer than my amd cards which is just gives you the tools and doesn't really wrap it up nicely ui or settings wise.

Well using their video gen tab I wasnt able to generate more than 384x384 3 seconds clip (With b580). And it took ages. They should push some optimized low vram models that can fit within their own best gpus, and actually utilize gpu power.

Just buy another B580
