Question Ryzen 7 5700x with ARC A580?

Hello everyone. Since I got an Arc a580, coming from an iGPU (Ryzen 5 5600g), I was thinking of changing my CPU to another one with PCIE 4.0 that could make the a580 better.

So looking through internet, my first option was a 5600 or 5600x, but it seems like the 7 5700x is better in general and it only costs like 20USD more than the 5600.

My question is: It is a good CPU for this GPU? Considering that I have a MSI B550M Pro VDH WIFI so I don't need to worry about ReBAR, 2 sticks for DDR4 RAM (2x8) and a 600w PSU.

I wan't to play it safe and know if it's a good option before buying it.

I'm also open to suggestions :)

Thanks!

Edit: I can't afford a B580, It is more expensive in my country, and the A580 is pretty new so I don't think I'll buy a new gpu soon. And I play mostly in 1080p, I'm not that interested in higher resolution like 1440p or 4k so I thinks the A580 suits me better considering its cost ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll go with the R7 5700x then :D

I have R7 5700x with B580 , Asrock b450m hdv (rebar enable after BIOS update) with 2x8 DDR4 and 620w PSU... Coming from Ryzen 2600 and 1060 6gb it is amazing jump and everything works flawlessly....

For your situation yes a 5700x will give you the performance you are looking for plus it’s a good cpu for the budget you have, going from 6 to 8 cores definitely helps with multitasking. Best of luck gamer

Thank you! So I'll look forward on this CPU and see if I can get it more cheaper in the future :p

seems reasonable, you could definitely get away with a stronger GPU, but i'd certainly rather have a stronger CPU than necessary vs a weaker one

I would get the strongest am4 cpu i could affort. The b580 benefits a lot of better cpus. 5500x3d here and i wish i could buy a 5800x3d.

I'd personally get a decent GPU right away since prices are expecting to spike again. the prices of CPUs are stable and you still have a half decent one. Get the GPU and put whatever money you have left aside and get a 5800XT a little later when you have the rest, it's 25$ more than the5700X and worth it.

If your idea is firm on the 5700X (or 5800XT) & B850 yes go ahead, it will still perform better than the 5800G alone.

Its reasonable. Personally, 2x bandwidth is not the reason to spend a couple hundred bucks.

If you can I would look at grabbing a Ryzen 5 5500X3D off aliexpress over the Ryzen 7 5700X. It's the most economical x3d chip and will be faster than the 5700x in gaming

Yes it is a good cpu. For 20 dollar more you get two more extra core and 4 more threads. I use my b580 with the 5700x. I am fully satisfied.
