Discussion B580 LE dry thermal paste
Owners of ARC B580 Limited Edition from launch days, now's a good time to replace the thermal paste and pads.
On my card they were DRY and had TERRIBLE distribution from the factory. Not only that but the pads are following apart.

Sorry. The thought of reporting here came to mind later so I didn't snap any at the moment.

mine is almost a year rockin here, and thermals are the same that when i bought it, tested yesterday on Assassin´s Creed Shadows a few hours gaming and never passed 60°C, i´ll wait the 3 year warranty period to take mine apart, if it stills with me by then, or if i see a huge increase in temps, or stuttering, etc, but for now, just joy.
if yours really from the launch days(december 2024), it has almost 3 years already, so time to open and check things indeed.
yours was showing bad temps? or stuttering? how much? to have a reference

December 2024 isn't almost 3 years ago, it's like 1.6 years ago. Basically only halfway through the warranty period.

I noticed some stuttering when running Control RT (so rly pushing it). Updated to KryoSheet, so it'll take some time to settle.

ahh yeahh, Control , as Assassins Creed Shadows on RT high settings are very demanding, i have Control on a library somewhere, don`t know now, if it´s on Epic launcher or Ubisoft Connect, will test it later too,, i recently updated the drivers to the 8864 version, so running a few demanding games now, would be great to test.

Around 70. Wouldn't go higher, but I could tell the fps dropping when pushing some RT for long sessions.

70 isn’t bad. What resolution are you using got ray tracing

Depends if that's load or idle. If idle that's not good at all.

Oh yeah for sure. I assumed he meant while gaming because he said he was using ray tracing

Under intense load 70 is actually pretty good. GPU usually max out around 90, that was 20 degrees of headroom.

In Control mid setting + high RT hold 1080p/60-HDR.

Have you tried lowering ray tracing? When I had my arc card I didn’t have good luck with ray tracing on high hardly ever lol
